hey all!, i’m a 80 thief Raethix and I am disturbed about something.. that is: all the hate on legendary’s and the stupid posts like “-name- needs to be updated” “lack of effects” “stupid skins” etc etc..

all legendary’s have there own skin and effects, but i dont understand people. they make one and know how it would look, but then they are saying thakittens stupid and have silly effects and need to be bigger etc.

why in the first place did u made it? to be cool?!?

I gone give u my opinion on all legendary and gone say a exotic that i think is mutch better then the legend.

1-Incinetator: So lame, a blade of fire (i hate effects with elements that really exist) exotic: Fractal dagger

2-Quip: ugly skin a toy gun :o cool effect (the glow) exotic: choas gun

3-Bolt: lame to, a copper looking sword with lightning on :s exotic: infint light/ the puple mist weapon

4-eternity/sunrise/twillight: i like thow, also a mirror to the sky. but it would be cooler if only eterinty exists. Exotic: Foefire’s Essence

5-Flame Seeker Prophices: Cool shield, good glow. exotic: nothing

6-Frostfang: again lame, axe that exists of ice and only ice.. Exotic: the mist axe(purple)

7-howler: thats cool to, funny effect Exotic: dunno never use a horn

8-Juggernaught: got a cool effect but ugly skin it looks like a lamppost.. exotic: entropy

9-Kudzu, yea like that one to. roots of a tree + same gold glowing in. Exotic: Azureflame

10-Meteorlogicus, cool to but stupid footfalls. but nice skin. Exotic: never use it..

11-moot: LAME, a discoball.. Exotic: the draggon jade one+fractal one

12-Rodgort: not that cool.. pretty ugly. Exotic: fractal one

13-The dreamer: best effects! but kitten ugly skin.. Exotic: aether

14-The Minstrel: yea thats not cool but not bad to. Exotic: all

15:The Predator: cool skin, stupid effect (shooting fire) Exotic: never use it

16:Bifrost: THE best legendary ever. cool skin, cool effect, cool glow+footfalls!!

now that only my opinion on all the legendary’s.
i want one for myself to but gone wait until they release new ones. i’m hoping on a backpice that give footfalls+glow. like the fractal one but one step further.

i’m sure that i’m gone got hate of some of u but its realy annoying to read all of the post to update the effects etc.

I’m not making one because i dont like them to.. but if u dont like it dont make it!! like u see, 60% of them are lame and ugly.
they take to mutch time just for 1 skin..

It’s not about whether a legendary looks cooler than a exotic, that’s just a matter of opinion. Legendaries are all about having “more”, more particles, more extreme models, foot steps, the works.

That is why when people invest in a legendary, they ask for it to be brought up to par, because it’s a legendary, it’s not alright for a legendary to be lacking all the extra particles and fluff, that’s what makes it a legendary and not a unique exotic weapon skin.

Its not only about models anymore. Swappable stats anyone? Or is everyone forgetting they are now akin to Ascended, and have those AMAZING swappable stats!?

FSP was the best looking legendary before legendary overhauls. Now people hate it for not being updated. What can you not like about FSP?

My opinion is that if you made it before the patch, you were obviously satisfied as is. Asking for anymore changes may or may not be met, and you shouldn’t have those expectations.

Furthermore, legendaries that got updated STILL have complains, like Meteor. You can never satisfy everyone.

It’s as if Anet should have just left everything as is.

So in your opening sentence you say you’re upset/disturbed about all the negative posts people make about legendaries, then you yourself make a post hating on the legendaries too? Makes sense.

Hey, if you don’t like them, don’t craft one. Simple as that. I love mine, for the skin and the stats, but then, I own one I crafted because I have a sense of humor, and well, the weapon fit perfectly. (The Dreamer)

If you hate on them THAT much, don’t make em. But, also, stop taking things so seriously. Its a game….

The skin on Dreamer isn’t THAT horrible, considering it shoots Unicorns and Rainbows. XD

Yes, because a lot of legendary holders have enough disposable income to drop +$1500 on a legendary.

I’m sure there are enough of those people in game to make you worry.

Oh yeah I forgot about the gold/gem rates in the past month.

Guess I can’t wait for my bonus at the end of the month and buy 3 more legendaries.

No, it’s not subjective.

Brought up to par, as in bringing a legendary to legendary weapon status. I’m not saying brought up to par in terms of how “super cool” it looks, but production value.

If all a legendary has is some light particles on the weapon model, and it’s missing foot falls, aura, projectile changes, maybe even sounds, then it’s not a legendary, it’s just an EXTREMELY expensive exotic mystic forge skin….

I have The Dreamer on my asura and i love it.
I think the thing that kittens some legendary owners is when they change the look or effects after they have made it.
Maybe option to ‘turn on’ version 1 or 2 or footsteps on/off would make some owners a lot happier.
