my thoughts on this game
I think it just takes practice. A lot of people have said this game takes some getting used to, especially for those coming from WoW because the combat is very different. (I can’t say how exactly, I played WoW for about 10 hours and that was over a year ago so I don’t really know how their combat system works.)
Considering a lot of people have managed to play the game, and even do things like solo end-game content or dungeons (the Wintersday dungeons especially) I think it’s safe to say it’s not a fundamental problem with the combat system.

Take into consideration that enemies above your level are not just “a bit stronger” (like in WoW) but will actually kick your kitten especially if it’s a personal storyline mission. Make sure you’re above their level or at least on the same level and they won’t be able to kill you in 4 hits anymore.

you know we herd alot of this when the game was in beta, even i got faceroled by mobs early on… now though when makeing alts and such i crush all the early level content
completely different experiences for different players it seems… i found that some professions can be quite durable even against multiple opponents several levels higher, all it takes is the right weapon/skill combo
hell, with my ranger i solo-ed whole battles while eating a sandwich (granted, pet had to be switched in and out a few times)

From my experience, this is common. Many new players find the game very hard. Those of us who have become more adept though, find it far too easy.
It’s just sad that there are so many people in the mindset that if they can’t do it, then it’s the games fault. It can’t be because they suck, or are approaching it the wrong way. Nope. It’s the game.
I’m still waiting for content that more than 99% of the players cannot do because of the difficulty. It’ll probably never come.

i find it extremly difficult and frustrating. playing most classes already i cant seem to stay alive during most fights greater then 1 enemy. the combat is too busy to figure out what is going on by time you do your dead.most areas have many enemies crawling and when you finish they respawn right on top of you. playing as a thief it only takes like 4 hits it seems to kill me even trying to evade all these attacks. how do they expect anyone to hang onto this game. comes at a premium ,the players have to be super special buttomn smashers. i know its “not azeroth” but i find the game extremely difficult to get through. im sorry arena youve made me made for the last time and will not be playing any more
It really doesn’t get any better. You will likely get “used” to some of the mechanics, but if you’re like me you’ll never enjoy them.
It’s a complete mindless zerg fest with no strategy and humongous grinds for “content”.
I’d advise just getting the refund while you can.
