Wow is it me or they drastically increased precursor chances in mystic toilet. I just got my 6th precursor in 30 days.

Leaf of kudzu, Dusk, Colossus, Rodgort’s flame, Venom, and Dawn today.
I made The Juggernaut 12 days ago and I need only to farm 200 gold to finish my Sunrise.

Lucky me.

Edit: In my guild one girl got 12 in last 2 months….

I spent 800 gold trying to craft Spark. Chances are the same. It’s pure RNG.

Btw, gave up on Spark.

sounds more like a case of the “lucky account” bug that so many speculate is floating around the system

^yup. I throw in lots of stuff everyday and get <1/4 of lots of stuff back everyday……..yay for promises :/

Is so accurate though, except we don’t, most of us, throw valuables into literal toilets going to get valuables back out.

I don’t use the mystic toilet for any sort of precursor gambling, though some of my friends do so like insane addicts, spending weeks farming gold, mats and rares, then crafting as affordably at they can, buying up low ball rares of their bid orders constantly, then flushing them all down the mystic toilet, hoping the RNG will give them a precursor.

Almost all of the time, they’re left as empty handed for ask their trouble and struggle as if they’d just deleted all of it.

I laugh at them. I have no pity. Anet made a slot machine with what are clearly abysmal odds for getting anything good by gambling.

Yet, they’ve marked their audience well. Most mmo players really are too foolish to reject even monumentally horrible systems when the carrot at the end of the stick is just too shiny for them to ignore.

I laugh with neither pity nor mercy. The mystic toilet it’s perfectly named.

I had the lucky account bug back during Queens Gauntlet, got dusk and frostfang in a week of each other, now I’m pretty sure I’m paying for it, last six times I threw exotics in the toilet I got 76s/75s back, and all the junk I threw in was 80.

Well I threw lots of exotics from dungeons in MF got nothing. (more than 300 exo shields because it is cheap), but most curious is I got all of those precursors when I had max 20 gold on acc and bought 80lv rare from TP. I tried berserker stats for a year and got nothing buuut I got all of my precursors from Rampager and Clerics stats (krait). Today toilet trolled me, thought I got Colossus again but it was a Magmaton

I dont have lucky acc because I’ve seen only 1 exotic drop from world bosses and dungeons in 4 months. Its just RNG that like me now I guess.

Edit: I even tested my luck when I sold Leaf of kudzu, spent 800 gold on rare gs, hammers and daggers and got no precursor. (maybe if you have less money you get better chances LOL)

Hate to burst your bubble here but six times? Six times is trivial. There are loads of players that that is their reality every time.

I suppose I ought to look into what a precursor actually is! Only been playing for two years after all.

A precursor is a weapon, one of the requisites for crafting a Legendary Weapon. Extremely rare drops as loot or when combining weapons in the Mystic Forge.

In general, you should use the Mystic Forge for fixed recipes that give a fixed result. There are websites for calculating the turnout for the various recipes. You should not use the forge for trying to get a precursor by combining 4 rare weapons, or to get a valuable superior sigil/rune by combining 4 rare sigils/runes.

Unless of course you feel lucky. On average you’re bound to lose money vs. just selling the items on the TP at the lowest offer price.

Through about two years of playing now, I have realized there are certain people i know who seem to be more lucky than others. These people have seen 7+ precursors out of the forge for the duration of my gw2 life. 4200 hours/1.9 years, and I’ve only gotten Rage twice (in a row). Having bought 7 precursors, it’s hard to feel happy for people who get lucky anymore. Been playing 6+ hours per day, every game mode, and can barely squeeze an exotic worth >1 gold every couple of days. My dungeon weapon forges turn into level 76 basic exotics. Kitten you mystic toilet! At least I’m not stupid enough to throw hundreds of gold in.

Thanks for that. To be honest, I don’t really get many rare or higher drops and when I do they get salvaged for ecto’s unless they are worth gold on the TC.
