Hi, is mystic forge conduit back? what’s the difference of the one with yellow color and the one with blue/purple color?

Yea and I’m really upset because of this. I come home from a long day at work and see that my mystic forge conduit’s value has gone from 1200g to 400g. Pretty low of Anet considering they announced the mystic forge conduit would not be released back into the game right before they removed it back in 2013.

I think it’s pretty awesome and hope more one time only items come back.

The new one is account bound once you use it, the old one doesnt get bound after use, i think.

Portable toilet? A definite novelty but are there any actual uses for it?

The new Mystic Forge Conduit is sellable and you get the components required to craft it in the MF by gambling your ectos and gold at a “skritt ecto and gold lottery” merchant (or whatever you wanna call it) in LA. However, by doing this you’ll lose both gold and ectos on average so it’s smarter to buy it directly from the TP.

The new conduit is an account bound one though, so once you bind it, you can’t sell it back, unlike their tradable counterpart. I think the tradable ones will still be valuable because you can use it at any time and sell it back whenever you want. The new ones, once bound, can’t. Depends on the buyer and what they want:

New version – for personal use, can use anytime, cheaper, but can’t sell back once bound.
Tradable version – for personal use, can use anytime, more expensive, but CAN sell back.

Edit: Thought the new ones were rare rarity, but are exotic also, just not tradable once account bound so edited post to adjust wording. Bought myself one of the new account bound ones just now for personal use. No regrets. Will be using it a lot since I get tons of runes and sigils from items using the copper-fed-salvage-o-matic.

The portable MF is extremely useful if you convert karma to gold by forging and salvaging karma vendor items.
