New Dungeon Rewards - Fotm Ignored?

I’d guess the loot bags from legendaries could be nice, but fractals players need some sort of income, especially considering it’s harder than any other content currently ingame. does the upcoming dungeon change include fractals? currently people get around 80s a full 48 run, which I don’t think does fractals justice.

maybe something like 30s at lvl1/fractal(and then call it first/second/third fractal for the day and lock further rewards that day) scaling slightly exponentially to 2g/fractal at 48(so let’s say it would give 90s/fractal at 28). I’d prefer hard to obtain skins over the current system anet is planning to introduce, just because it is flexible – if the dungeon is hard, demand will be higher because people unable to complete it will still want the skins, thus autocorrecting itself somewhat(this worked well in gw1), but leaving fractals out of a change like this doesn’t really make sense to me.

This… How the hell did I forget about fotm (especially high level) rewards? It’s the dungeon that needs them the most!

I hope they fix fractal rewards as well. Currently not worth the time invested if you already have your ascended gear.

You do get more loot from chests once you get around 60

80s is what I would get doing a 4 minute 30 seconds CoF run with 65% gold find (I know its getting nerfed) FotM rewards need to be brought back to what they were at least when it first launched, you know it giving better rewards as it gets harder they must have scrapped that idea.. As it stands there is no point in doing 48 over say 28.

The Champions in FotM will also get their new improved loot, so there is that. Depending on how it works, it may make certain Champion or Legendary foes in fractals excellent sources of Cores/Lodestones/T6 materials. We’ll have to wait and see.

It would also be nice if guild parties would earn influence in Fractals.

fotm reward is getting lower each patch.

Why?
Fotm rewards are:
few of yellows WITHOUT sigils/rune
SOULBOUND exotics
Some T6
cores and rarely lodestones

They added yellows with sigils/runes to dungeons/open PvE
They added exotics NON bound and with rare skins to open PVE chests
They are adding T6 from Champions
They are adding gold rewards to dungeons
They are adding cores in many activities

Its not that lowering the price of some items is a bad idea….but the fact that everything in pve have seen a huge increment in reward and fotm still ha sthe same since release just put it as the LOWEST rewarding activity in the game by a long margin.

CUrrently is: lets burn 1-2 hours for a rare chance at a skin :|
But you know you won t get any money out of it.

Few days ago a lvl 48 run net me 30 silvers <==
the same that autoattacking a wolrd bosses for 5 min would give me.

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

I agree it needs some revamps, my guess is it has a different system for them actually, so the change wasnt aplicable.

About the 80s… im not sure if im lucky but between rares, tier 6 mats and cores, i always get like 3g+ from 28-48 level fractals.
Never tried 50 so cant talk about it, the people wich i do fractals dont go more than 48 since rewards dont seems to justificate the effort lol (after doing the same fractals, each more than 100 times, the fun factor isnt enough lol).

In the july post from Colin I’m fairly certain he said fractals will be getting revamped along with dungeons. Though I don’t know if that was gonna take place at the same time or not. It will probably be an on going thing.

I am at lv 39 fotm for about 5 months now. I don’t see a point to continue progress it, the reward is just crap, and the fact that fractal skins are pure rng does not help it.

Fractals will not be part of the gold per path/run reward revamp next week. Confirmed by a dev.

But I would suspect them to look at and possibly rework the fractal rewards when they get around to updating and adding fractals later this year. I don’t believe they have forgotten about them, they just haven’t gotten to them yet.

And I agree, FOTM is not worth doing atm. Too much time and not enough reward any more. Used to be nice loot, but not any more.

They still claim this never happened, but I used to run them enough to agree with this claim. The loot was definately nerfed.

They still claim this never happened, but I used to run them enough to agree with this claim. The loot was definately nerfed.

well its more than obvious that nobody could argue with it :|
The fact they said it wasn t is just mining their credibility…..maybe they didn t intend to lie but they are wrong anyway.

pffft…. I don’t get it tho.. wouldn’t it be painfully easy to add it to fractals too? might as well if they bother at all…

I didn’t think they counted FoTM as a dungeon; it doesn’t count towards dungeon dailies/monthlies.

Yeah, they don’t treat FOTM like a normal dungeon. It donesn’t count towards a dungeon daily/monthly and has it’s own seperate category. The rewards have always been ‘different’ also.

They just like to treat it as a seperate entity entirely and I have no idea what type of reward revamp they would be thinking about for FOTM. Even just putting the rewards back to where they were in January would be nice.

I think just making fractal skins transmutable into one another via the MF and giving us a way to get gold with fractal relics would be a good start since relics already scale decently with fractal level and this would retroactively reward players who’ve already done a lot of high level fractals.
