what the title says. confused when this is supposed to hit.

The new trait system is coming before HoT. How long before HoT is not known but since they were still not sure about various things and are actively looking for feedback it will take a while I think.

The elite specializations however are a part of HoT.

They said in the live stream it would be before HoT. Clearly it won’t be in the next week or two, but it’s going to be part of the base game.

“Standard” stuff comes before HoT if I remember reading the livestream notes correctly. Stuff like the Epic specs come WITH HoT iirc.

I expect the new trait system to come with the story restore. So I think we’re looking at 4-5 weeks minimum right now.

Since Epic Specs are part of HoT and can’t be used/acquired without HoT, that is a guarantee.

I’d a guess a month or two before HoT when they have settled on all the changes.

They also still have several Engi traits that are TBD (or at least were not in any state to show us). And they said that they would have another session (though less than 4.5 hours) with us before they shipped the new trait system, so until you hear that they aren’t doing that just wait until we get version 2.
