non-public suggestions to devs
yup, you go their office building with a megaphone, good luck
No. Not really. If it’s a quality of life suggestion there’s a sticky for that above. For other suggestions, If they had to read all the individual messages from everyone who has a suggestion to make they’d never get work done. The forums are the place to make suggestions and get the problems worked out by people pointing out flaws and making other suggestions.
ANet may give it to you.
Also, other avenues can potentially bring legal doubt regarding licensing and such avoided here by user agreements etc. There’s a lot of opaque legal stuff regarding suggestions :/
You could maybe PM one of the Anet staff on the forum, but I don’t know if they read PMs.
I can’t remember where exactly it is but somewhere in the legal info they say they will not accept submissions by email or post – they’ll return post unopened and delete emails – which is because legally if you sent them an idea it remains your intellectual property and you could sue Anet for a share of the profits, or even licensing rights if they use it (or something similar to it).
They can accept submissions through the forum because we all accepted the terms of use which say we grant them full rights to any feedback or suggestions we post.
