After several hours of trying I got close to the goggles only to fall. I managed to finish the jp but the diving achieve I need. There are very few Tyria mastery point achieves available and this one is required. Is there anyway to get this done truly? I feel like only the 1% have ever been able to actually complete it without a mesmer. This jp is easily harder then soloing the raid encounter.

1. Bring a friend.
2. Have that friend be a mesmer.
3. ???
4. Profit.

That’s the best advice anyone can give you as far as that diving achievement goes. It’s a big pita, so make sure you can get as many tries in as possible (watch youtube for how to jump, it helps).

Yes, that was it for me too. Stand on the little pipe just below the ‘cloud layer’.

Yes, this is basically the only way to do it for non-professionals. Ignore the videos and stay on that little pipe. You can view about half way around the mountain, so you can almost jump right towards it.

And, be a mesmer traveling with mesmers. You’re going to fall an ungodly number of times before you actually get the title.

Then, when you do, stay up there and earn a few gold. Make a portal, waypoint, run back in, and port other players for tips.

Yep, if you learn how to get to the top reliably, and the way to drop down (onto the airship etc, not actually diving), and where on the ground floor is within portal range, you can make a killing just on tips. I used to do it a bunch, and some people are so relieved to get it done they’ll send 20g tips. Some send you nothing, and one guy sent me some mithril and elder wood, but it’s a pretty good way to make money while still helping people.
