Can Anet use this so we can see who were going into a dungeon with and see how many agony res they have?

It would help alot to bring people you know are well geared so the run would be easy.

If you could see the gear of people you’re going into a dungeon with… it would help because you could know to either not take them or bring them along.

It sucks when people aren’t well geared and either:
a) make the run harder then it should be or
b) slow everyone else down from their laziness of not trying to get better gear.

It only makes sense for PVE if people are trying to get better gear in dungeons.

No this game was desigend so that all gear was equal at 80 give or take very little and it would come down to player ability and team work etc. If you read any of this board and if the community is actually listened to, this gear grind will go away, but if it doesnt it wont mater because it will become another dead MMO

Dont worry they ll add it soon enough. I mean they r totally catering to demanding elitist WoW fans now with gear grind and treadmills. I bet you ll be getting mounts, gear checks, the holy trinity and pandas soon enough.

It would also halt others that are also interested in gearing up through PVE. And Im not talking about a high enough difficulty level in FotM to have agony active. Im talking about whatever instance, whether it is AC or Arah.

I give up, just remember before this kitten patch there wasn’t much possibility to be Under geared. If you had lvl 80 gear you were able to do everything. Enjoying being part of the group that is and will kill this game

So if people can’t get good gear to raid in the end-game dungeons that are out now…. they can just go do PVP. Easier to get gear anyway that way

Give us gearscore already Anet. You know you will eventually anyway might as well get it overwith and your journey towards the dark side will be complete!

Gearscore was a big pile of steaming dung in wow and it would be a big pile of steaming dung in gw2. Sadly some people seem to like steaming dung.

Although it was funny watching people with alot higher gearscore than me fail horribly in raids.

DPS meters would help if you keep wiping on a boss….

you’d know who isn’t pulling their weight.

I just want to know one thing, OP: Did you know it was a hornet’s nest when you kicked it?

I only bring it up because everyone I try to get into an Arah group….. the group always asks what kinda gear I have and how much DPS i can do.

So wouldn’t it be easier to just be able to view a profile of someone rather then ask them?

The instance Elitism will flourish now. It will all be about grinding instances as end-game just like all other WoW wannabe MMO’s.

Hey i agree with the OP. My reason is not so much so i can kick people from groups. Its more, im just curious what people wear you know. I see something nice, id like to hit inspect and see his gear….oh…so those are the shoulders hes wearing….nice…must get…..you know?

I just like having the option to show others what you have, theres nothing wrong with that. If other people abuse so prevent people from dungeons, well thats their choice…you cant control everyone.

Just like you cant control everyone on what they say in chat….but you dont disable chat in general just because a few people get carried away do you? No.

Add option for inspection

Listen think of it this way…

They implement a gearcheck system…. You need a certain level to do " end game " raiding. So say you’re 100 points off to do a certain raid instance… you then have a new goal (for PVE mind you) to get your gear to that level in order to raid it and obtain better gear.

its just a progression thing for PVE.

Lets put players in charge of who they want to group with, after all that work ANet did to tear down the berriors that stopped players from grouping together … lets give players the ability to make up some of their own reasons.

I believe he is completely serious and completely oblivious to the current sensitivities of the player base. It is ironically humorous to have this popping up at this time.

I thought everyone who was so “hyped” for this game got it for PVP….

Continue doing pvp nobody really cares about PVP gear as their is no indication of skill level assosciated with it.

For PVE there is some sort of skill. Either you can complete a hard end-game dungeon or you can’t and need to work on upgrading the gear you have.

For those of us who want to PVE in this “PVP” game (i’m guessing the minority) who cares for those of you who PVP ?

Well, if we are believing Anet and all the people on the boards who keep saying it isn’t THAT much of an upgrade, then how are the people who don’t have it going to slow you down? If it is so insignificant that we shouldn’t be upset by it, then why would you care if everyone has it or not in your group?

Also, if you see someone’s gear that you like, I dunno, maybe ask them? It isn’t hard to send them a message. Most people would probably answer if you asked.

because it makes forming groups easier if someone msg’s you you can view their gear profile.
