and now they are here.. as… an outfit.. GeeGee, 0/10 wouldn’t buy
long story short: me and tons of other people i know would buy TONS of skins from the gemstore if they were skins and not outfits.
there has not been new gemstore skins as armorsets in ages.
and i know if they just made alot of outfits into 6 skins, tons more people would buy it.
but yeah outfits are less work to make :>

People wanted to earn armor sets in game, so they’ve said they will no longer put new armor sets into the gem store. They may put in armor items, like the chaos gloves, but no full sets.

I almost never buy outfits. So irritating… I’ve despised the clothing change ever since it was implemented.
Make a copy of light, medium, and heavy armors, and make those skins available in other weights. There’s all kinds of stuff that gets released for all three, light/medium/heavy. That would give us some awesome clothing options and would require no resource development.
Do we really need a “oh no, not another outfit” thread every time. They’ve said that’s what we are going to get from now on in the store. They’ve said that armor sets take a whole lot more work to do which is why we don’t see them in the store anymore.
Fine, I know there’s a segment who hate them. You are always going to hate. We get it. But I find them fine for leveling.

if only leveling was a thing for us endgame players. ^^
And it’s a matter of asset dev-hours between doing an outfit and an armor set. They have only so many of these to “spend” and if they can do a dozen or more outfits, each for 700 gems a year Vs two to four armor sets at 800 gems, what makes more economical sense? That’s the reason they limited armor sets to expansion content now. It’s too much of a resource hog to make.
What’s the problem, nothing personal but I’m sure there are more than 9001 players that use Outfits because I see them every day while running the Meta events in Maguuma including the ones that I use.
I wish we had the ability to take our customized skins and save them to template we can switch to at no cost just like swapping outfits.
