So far I am liking the game. One thing that bothers me is the instancing on every 5th step. I wished cities were not instanced.

One thing I really liked about WoW was the fact that game had invisible instances from zone to zone (loaded in the background). Is this a left over code from GW1?

Every fifth step? It takes the rest of us about 10 or so minutes to cross a map. What race are you playing, Super-Jotun?

Probably. One of the things that makes this game such an improvement over GW1 is the fact that the world is not instanced, but shared with the other players, so we can interact with each other and actually play together in the field. Guild Wars was great, but the lack of other player often made the game feel dead and really limited rp – which has been the exact opposite of my experience in this game.

I always wanted to explore Tyria without a mob of npcs, and now I can … I’m in MMO paradise.

What’s crazy, is that i really enjoyed playing GW1 regardless of it not being zoned with other players .. for that fact alone, im loving GW2 even more.

it doesnt because each zone is like a world. i tend to spend 2-3 hours at a time in a zone, and repeat the cycle until it’s 100% complete. i think of traveling between zones as traveling between worlds (taking a ship across an ocean or something).
