Ok so i’ve played this game for a while. Ive added a lot of friends. During prime hours I got a 5th to a 7th of my friends list online this is about 400k-600k people online at one time. Anet said they got 465k people concurrent players. So it makes sense if u have a a better reason tell me.

How does having a lot of friends and a 5th or 7th of them online equal 400k-600k people online at a time unless you have several hundred thousand people in your friends list?

So how many people are on your friends list? 200k? 300k? 400k? 500k? We need to know those numbers to validate your claims.

Yeah a 7th of your friends list online does not equate to a 7th of the player base online.
Also the 3.5 million copies number is now out of date, and the number of active users online at one time may not necessarily be very high – the game is operating in a LOT of different time zones, each with a different peak hour. Of course if you want to talk about how many players are active each DAY, then that’s a little more valid a number – but we can’t guess the number, we would have to be told.

Any guess is going to be wildly inaccurate. You might guess right, but you’d never know and so the number can’t be used conclusively.

OP, do something more worthwhile with your time like banging your head against a brick wall. These threads pop up often. Anet haven’t given a straight answer, ever. If they were happy with the numbers I have no doubt they’d let us know.

What do we know though, we are only the minority forum users that they changed Sylvari armour and the cash shop flaming T3 reskin to appease.

? + 7 = 500k, come on guys, use your heads! It’s not that difficult.
