You might want to explain what you mean by “useless trash”. I like loot boxes because I can save them up until I’m ready to deal with inventory, which means it’s trivial to rid myself of ‘junk’ quality items. The rest of the drops: those are often the most valuable part of loot.

The culprit is minor/major sigils and runes.

I would kill for a salvage-o-matic with 0% chance to recover upgrades, because sigils/runes are utterly worthless garbage.

The mystic forge recipe is a joke, on the tiny chance you get upgraded to a sup, it will be one of the 99% that are useless and worth 2s

The inv just fills up so fast with these little kittens and the problem is when I salvage an item I do it to free the inventory slot up, not replace the inventory slot with something else I can’t salvage and have to find a vendor and manually click to sell it for 20 copper JUST to free the slot up that I wanted to free up in the first place.

I often get a useless dungeon sigil/rune that can’t even be TP’d or Vendored. It’d be decent if I could just be spared the effort and salvage the sigil/runes into junk dust that can be stacked and npc’d. Adds more click wars but saves me the time it takes to feel hatred for them and dispose one by one through TP, hunting them through my bags at vendor to sell, and dragging them out of my bag to throw on ground to stomp and spit on.

While I agree with the thoughts about junk sigils/runes, I cant help but laugh at how much hatred they’re garnering by suddenly occupying space in people’s inventories.

It’s like having a room full of boxes and picking one up to clear out the room and finding a dead cat under it. Now you have something worse to deal with that’s occupying that space.

I have a fix.

Click on the offending upgrade in your inventory.

Manually drag it off the inventory window.

Confirm destruction.

Since you don’t mind if the thing never gets salvaged anyway, just sidestep your need to wring every last penny out of your salvage and toss it.

I’ve never had an issues with this. When I mass open my boxes I simply stand next to a vendor. Salvage like a mad man, then sell all the green sigils to the vendor. Seriously… Not catching the big issue with this.

Examples might be broken claw, broken lockpicks, bunch of fur. Aka items that are meant to just be vendored that they added the “Sell Junk” button for. That’s at least how I interpreted the OP. These item force the player to exit the game area and return to a vendor else they can not pick additional things up. If these are meant to simply be converted to coin, then drop the coin versus taking up the bag space.

The other option is give us a reason to have these in the bags. Example, you can sell it this vendor for ‘x’ coin or go there and make ‘x’ + 10 for it if you traveled somewhere else.

That’s still an extra few steps almost every time you salvage anything. I do it sometimes when I’m out in the field but it’s really annoying.
