plz reconsider aesthetics on heavy armor
It just isn’t heavy armor, many (perhaps all non cultural) armor sets (seem to me) were designed for either male or female human (and perhaps even only certain body types of the aforementioned choice gender) and then any other variation is just kind of rushed or not well thought out.
You’re kidding, right? The boots on heavy armor look so big, bulky and heavy both on male and female that if there were boots like that in real life they wouldn’t be able to walk they’d be so heavy.
It’s the shoulders that are too big.

On which races. Norn have boat feet so all are big for them. Charr get odd cutouts (some asura too) and Sylvari feet are even smaller than humans so…
Armor aesthetics rely heavily on what type of physique you have chosen for your character also.
…and certain physiques look better wearing certain types of armor.
Try using a total makeover kit (if you have one laying around) to preview the different body types available, and be amazed at how much it affects the size and shape of your different armor pieces.
It’s not that there’s a problem with proportions of human body in gw2. It’s that in That Other Game proportions were wildly exagerrated in some areas (the infamous massive shoulderpads…).
If anything, it’s the opposite of what you say – some armor sets have still too big/thick boots compared to the rest of the body.
