Hello, and yes, the title is confusing. So my question about questions (lel) is how off topic can we go? is there an off topic discussion area? I’m not on many forums and have no interest in joining more, so this is one of the only places for me to ask people questions. Under the protection of this semi-GW2-related question, here is my off topic one; how old should you be to play black desert? If the kid it allowed to play this, is he old enough?

GW2 isn’t 99% hentai like that game so it’s safer for the younglingz.

If it’s just age for BDO I’d say it doesn’t belong here since this is the dedicated forum for GW2, but if you’re asking in comparison to GW2 specifically it might be fine(?). I’m uncertain of these things. I’d assume BDO is a bit more mature than GW2, but I haven’t seen that much of BDO.

Just a friendly heads-up not to be surprised if you find your thread removed (which might be before, or after, someone answers your question…depends on how fast the Mods notice it).

This forum doesn’t have an off-topic section, all topics have to be related to GW2 in some way. Even within a topic posts can be removed if they’re not related to the main discussion or GW2 in general.

As for your question if you mean what is the age rating then it will vary by country but should be displayed on the box and website. (No idea on BDO but for example GW2 is rated 12 in Europe, so 12 year olds can play, but T for Teen in America so you have to be 13 there.)

If you mean morally that’s a whole other discussion which is probably better had with people familiar with the game in a place where debating politics isn’t an issue.

Since there is still such a thing as developmentally child-appropriate content, the short answer to you final question is no. Just because a child is exposed to a given content, that does not mean the child is mentally or psychologically capable of or ready to handle that content.

All it really means is some parents are negligent and/or idiots that do not understand developmental psychology, something everyone should have to understand before reproducing, but whatever.

If you use another MMO to highlight something GW2 could do or do differently is different than a veiled promotion of a different MMO to where players should migrate to.
