stupid question – but i have been wondering for a long time… the stuff on the shoulders and arms are bones…but what are those things on the leg/lower armor part? bones that are placed into the armor or metal pieces? I really dont get it and as said ive been wondering for a long time…

The parts on the arms looks more like animal horns to me. Too straight and thick to be ribs. The base cut flat and the pointy end looks like horn. The parts in the lower part could be bone, cut to fit in there, or more horns.
