been playing 3+yrs, still a noob coz I never leave hotm, lol

I bought expac for pvp only but I’d like to explore more.

Interested in raids and have a deep understanding of all profession mechanics except thief.

Ok so here’s the big question:
Do I need to have the elite specs to participate in raids?

Edit: like have 200 hero points. I went to new map and don’t know where to start. I’m so overwhelmed by it. help me.

No, you don’t NEED the elite specs to do the raid. However, many of the classes most desired for raids will be using their elite specs.

Need an elite for raids? That’s a hard question to answer. If you’re planning on doing PUG runs then you really need the elite spec because without they are gonna insta-drop you. If you’re part of a nice guild or a group of friends it depends on the role you need to fullfill.

I see a few ppl request builds without elite specs (particularly guardian, warrior, and engineer), so it really depends.
