raid in gw2 and reward for them could be ?
As far as I know so won’t Anet make any kind of raids in GW2. That’s why we have hardcore world events.
Personally I think crafting a precursor with materials which can only be obtained though achievements, dedication, experience and a pinch of RNG is the best way.
Your suggestion would make EVERYONE want to do those raids day in and day out and suddenly, legendaries aren’t as unique anymore.
The closest thing you’ll get to raids in gw2 are the zerg open world bosses
I have Anet say things like “we are open to anything” however I agree with the other comments and its one reason im quite unhappy with Anet. They have a very unrealistic vision of open world events in gw2. This is pretty apparent with statements colin made when heard commenting on the feature patch in the background as he showed it to MMORPG in a video they put up. He basically said “ye, perhaps a guild can’t get all their people in a map to complete the wurm/teq event, but its okay because randoms can just help out with them.”.
This is a fantastical perfect world type of mentality that will never be true in game. As much as I like the wurm and teq, they arn’t completed as frequently as they could be simply because of open world restrictions.
Anet mainly feels this way because of their dislike for instanced content as too much instanced content hurt the GW1 and separated the playerbase. Although this is true, I think too much open world content will do the same thing. Its pretty obvious that open world events can only be so hard when organized groups still can’t get in all their members into the same map and have to deal with other problems like griefing.

The one update we all want to see is a way to get a precursor that not rng base. so
what if they added raids each precursor get a raids you would get mats that can only be drop from that raid or some type of token that can be use to buy the precursor would take around 12 weeks to complete the precursor. This would added raid content to gw2 and add a way to get a precursor that take time and is not rng base. on top of this system they would be able to add legendary armor
Special skins, toys, mini, mount, home-instance stuff, guild-related (guild hall) stuff.
As long as it are specific drops. No more “you have a bigger chance to get better drops.. that can drop everywhere in the world and you make some gold”, then sell what you get to buy what you want. That is boring.
I would like to see some raids but not the typical kind seen in other MMOs I’ve played. I think it’d be fun if we had raids set up like a slighter larger version of dungeons but instead of a typical 8 person raid I’ve seen in other MMOs I’ve played I’d like it to be two 5 person groups as the game already does that but the 2 parties would start at 2 different locations, maybe chosen randomly from a few potential starting locations and the 2 parties would meet up after clearing some mobs, champs etc and then eventually end up fighting a larger scale enemies.
They could be similar to world bosses but not quite so big because tbh the world bosses lost their massive appeal after seeing them a time or two so doing that more would be pointless and the massive bosses so far do not add any difficulty that a smaller boss would. The rewards from these could be the same quality as from world bosses.
I doubt Anet would do this but I would like to see something actually fun as an alternative to world bosses. We all know world bosses are pretty tame and most people just stand there auto attacking until it dies and collect loot then move on to the next one. Then we have easy world bosses like Tequatl that fails when it’s far too easy to ever fail yet it still does lol,
This would also provide an alternative for those that want some challenge and the better loot reward. Just like in FOTM, the higher scale level you go, the better loot you can get which can reward those that put forth more effort and those that want to be lazy auto attacking can stay at the basic world bosses.
