Guild Wars 2

Is there anything to these leyline anomalies that randomly pop up all over the world for a few seconds then disappear? I mean they seem like they are something its hard to believe its nothing at all.

If you run up to them, you can start a Current Event quest.

This is weird becuase I have done this numerous times and nothing happens. I have ran through them and nothign pops up etc.

They cannot be targeted so just run up to them and keep pressing f, you will get the achievement and then you can start the quest.
