Yes, I signed up for a “newsletter”, however, the sales pitch email is NOT a newsletter, it’s spam in my book as the emails are being continually repeated, as such I have reported said mail as spam, but dare not “unsubscribe” for fear of a hack attempt.

Unsuscribing won’t blow up your computer. Doing it should be fine. Probably might as well email/contact support to forward a complaint if you feel it’s been an hindrance (not taking the mickey, it really is up to you as a customer to see if you deem this unethical enough to write a complaint).

Also that is why I never tick the “send me newsletters button”, your personal details always tend to end up somewhere else they shouldn’t be.
