say if i deleted my character and remade him with exactly the same name but a different class, would the soulbound items of the deleted character still be usable by the new character? if not, would it remain soulbound to a character that no longer exists?

Why not just try and see? It’s very unlikely you will be able to use any items that were previously soul bound though as the game will consider that a different character.

And be able to use light armor on medium class or such? I am sorry, but it would stay soulbound to the character that no longer exists… at least I am like 99% sure of that.

and you can’t use light armor on medium class etc either.
