Um….I don’t see the point to this new “stuff” in the BLTC. Why not release keys at like half price (not that they are expensive) – does any one buy this stuff? – I bought the haloween costume but thats it

Uhmm.. yeah.. The new hair colors were a GREAT start, but the cosmetic offerings in the Gem Trading Post are still incredibly boring and nothing I’d ever want to spend real money on. Riding outfit?.. Seriously? I want to buy gems for things, but as of yet only hair colors have motivated me to do so.

Riding clothes? When horses (save undead ones) and equestrian sports have never been seen in the games? Unless you count some concept art.

Anet, it’s not quite April 1st yet. Still, at least it’s something to replace my horrid sylvari town clothes with.

I’m glad to see them separating the town clothes so you can pick some or all of an outfit rather than being required to by all of it. Nicely done ArenaNet!

One big question though, do the hoodie hoods go up? If they stay down all the time that would seem odd.

If they did the skins like in GW1 I’m sure more revenue would happen….. For as it stands now the town clothes are kinda junk. I would say the Costume Brawl would be a reason to get one but tonics do just fine. The Quaggan and Tiger backpacks are a nice start, but just wish they would add true armor outfits to the shop.

I think there is a balance between “cool skins” on Gem Store and “cool skins” in game that they are trying to achieve. Imagine the frustration of someone who cannot afford the “new” skin on Gem Story which may or may not blow all the dungeon skins away. Like Arenanet mentioned they do not want the Gem Store to be a place where you can have things that people within the game cannot get, or cannot get something similar with “effort”.

I do agree they could make some more armor skins and more interesting items, but they don’t want the Gem Store to be our content. They want the game to supply most of the interesting things, which they are working on right now. Soon enough a nice balance will be had between in game content and purchasable items. But it isn’t an overnight sort of thing.

Exactly! Where are the horses? They should make it similar to the riding broom.
