Can we have an option to salvage all below rare when we right click the salvage kit? like instead of masterwork and below, we have rare and below.

I believe we would have more complaints from people who accidentally salvaged rares than from people who are bothered by the confirmation button.

That said, I would use such an option most of the time because my main character doesn’t use any rares. And then I would switch to one of my lower level alts and accidentally destroy stuff that I planned to use with it because I’m used to salvaging a lot. This already happens with Masterwork weapons I have in my alts’ inventory, but I shrug that off.

i use copper fed too, there is only salvage magic and below, salvage masterwork and below, and salvage rare only.

Salvage All Blue and Lower
Salvage All Green and Lower
Salvage All Yellow

Those are your options. I use the copper fed for Salvage all green and lower, and the Mystic kits for Salvage all yellow. In both cases it will ask you for confirmation in a menu where it displays all items that will be salvaged

Why are you salvaging rares with the copper fed though? Use a mystic salvage kit for those… in which case you would only want to be salvaging rares, not wasting charges on fine/masterwork/etc.

Having it be salvage all rare and below means I would have to remember to salvage masterwork and below first with copper-fed, before using mystic kit on rares.

Changing “all rare”, to “all rare and below” would be a QoL reduction imo.

not everybody has mystic salvage kits or care to use it though. gw2 loads me with so much junk that i rather have one button to clear them all.

I think you’re probably among a small minority willing to lose 5-7 silver worth of value per rare to save themselves from a second pair of clicks. I’ve nothing against the idea, except that there are a lot of other UI changes I’d prefer to see the devs work on.

not sure if you ask for it to be renamed or to include rares. If the latter then no i dont want that.

What is the use case other than speed at the cost of gold? For master/below your best bet is copperfed. For rares it is a mystic or a silverfed.

So you want this on the salvage kit options…

-Use
-Salvage all Fines.
-Salvage all materworks and below.
-Salvage all rares.
-Salvage everything coz i’m a way too lazy to click more then once.

Using only a low tier kit will result in SUBSTANTIALLY lower income due to lost Globs of Ectoplasm and Runes/Sigils.

Using only a high tier kit will result in ACTUAL LOSSES due to the high cost per use and the low value salvage items gained from the masterworks and lower you salvaged. You’d be better off just deleting the loot from your inventory as at least then you wouldn’t have incurred a cost to salvage it that exceeded the value of the salvage result.

I wouldn’t do what the OP does and, as I said above, I don’t think ANet should prioritize this over other UI improvements. However, I’m not willing to state categorically that the OP is wrong for wanting to do this; it’s their preference, regardless of whether it makes sense (or cents) to me.

Ah, I see. Missed that part since I didn’t think anyone would want to blindly salvage all rares. Not to mention, why is it so hard to use the salvage menu twice? Remember, it was not too long ago that you had to salvage every single item individually(and click to confirm each and every rare). Now you have the ability to clean all blues and greens with one right click then pick and choose rares. I don’t see any problem or need to have a “rares and below” option. As one person pointed out “lazy”. I for one salvage only greens and blues with my copper fed. I use mystic salvage kits on the rares I actually do salvage. If you want to salvage all rares blindly use a silver fed salvage’o’matic.

There is no need to have this new option. 99% of players want to salvage rares and exotics with very high quality salage kit (or at least decent for rare) and crap but cheap for everything below.

There is no logical scenario where you want to salvage ALL with the same kit anyway. Unless they introduce a super duper op infinite salvage kit in the gemstore that for some reason has the best salvaging capacities at a low cost (but let’s face it wouldn’t be absurd and won’t happen).

So no, really, there is no need for such feature it would cause more harm from players doing mistakes than being any useful to any player.

Really, though, I would like an option on the salvage-o-matic to destroy the dang masterwork runes – all at once - that contantly fill my kitten pockets “after” I use the salvage-all-masterwork-and-lower option.

All the clicking for managing that is just getting really old. Better yet, no clicking. Loot just gets ‘processed’ automatically and you only need to deal with rare/exotic and above.

and in my choice i dont wamt more cluter in the ui and i believe more too agree on that one.
