Can something be done to prevent shields from blocking back items?

Not the best solution, I know, but if while you’re running about you use your AA (without targeting anything), you’ll equip your shield and weapon as normal for a little while… so it won’t be on your back.

Short of that, I don’t have a solution for you. I’m sorry.

theres not exactly a lot of real estate for a backpack and a stowed shield to occupy. theyre gonna overlap. nothing that can be done about it.

they should just let it clip over it, like how staffs gs or hammers do

I know the frustration. My wings disappear on my Mesmer but that’s when I weapon swap to staff.

There really isn’t anything that can be done about certain back items though.
