how do the restrictions work on sigil usage on two handed weapons? if I wanted to put a sigil of force and a sigil of paralyzation on a hammer, would that not be viable since they are both of the +% passive category of sigils?

It’s two identical sigils that don’t stack, not sigils from the same group.

So two force or two paralyzation wouldn’t stack, but you’d get the effect of one force and one paralyzation on the same weapon.

Well, also worth noting is that two sigils that both grant stat boosts on kill will not work.

Unless they’ve changed it, 2 of the same stat stack sigil still works, halving the time it takes to a full 25 stacks. But yes, you cant stack condi and power, or power and prec with sigils.

^ They’ve changed that, I believe. Having two of the same stack sigil (e.g. Bloodlust + Bloodlust) no longer builds stacks twice as fast.

That also applies if i have bloodlust on my main weapon set (lets say a greatsword) and life sigil on my second weapon set (sword+sword) ?

Are there any more restrictions how sigils work, namely those that trigger on critical and we want to have 2different ones on the same weap?

Sigils that have on hit/on critical effects stack if they are different sigils. For example, Sigil of Fire (Flame Blast on critical) + Sigil of Air (Lightning Strike on critical) can be equipped on the same weapon; both can trigger at the same time and have their own internal cooldowns independent of the other. However, 2 Sigils of Air wouldn’t work.

I thought so, thanks for clarifying it.
Regarding the stacking sigils, you just can’t have 2different ones on the same weapon, or also you can’t have 2different ones on different weapon sets (meaning your character cant have more than 1stat stacks at each time) ?

You can only have 1 sigil stack on you at a time, I know that much. You can’t have 25 stacks of Bloodlust and 25 stacks of Corruption, for instance. I’m not sure what happens if you had one weapon set with a Bloodlust sigil and one with a Corruption sigil and swapped between the two while building stacks, but I suspect that whichever stack came first would take priority and the second just doesn’t build stacks.

In other words, I wouldn’t bother investing in more than one Bloodlust/Corruption/Life/Benevolence sigil per character, unless you have lots and lots of different weapon sets.

Note that sigils that build charges stack independently of the above sigils. You could have a Bloodlust sigil and a Demon Summoning sigil on the same weapon, for example, and both would increase per kill.
