simpler armor choices?
this can be fixed if we had more short and simple coats in median armor (there is actually a great variety of simple pants\glove\shoes!)
yeah, way too many longcoats in medium armor. why not bring back town clothes as armor? all the models are already done, and they are already dyable anyway, I don’t see why they removed them. they could just bring them back and I?m sure lots of people would be happy.
I completely agree! I’d love to see what you exampled there, and more things inspired by 1800s victorian-meets-the-frontier styles. Practical, AND stylish! —
The Aetherblade waist coat was pretty swagger indeed.

I agree, more simple and tight stuff for every armor type, please and thanks Anet! No skirts and coats = no clipping.
The above posters are correct. The biggest issue by far is the lack of variety specifically with medium chest armor. I don’t think light or heavy are nearly as bad.
I also don’t know why they got rid of the townclothes skins. Even if it was for some reason technically difficult to adapt them for combat, they still should have done it. It’s called doing things the right way as opposed to the lazy way.
I would love some light armor without a skirt attached to every chestpiece for females….
I lean more towards the simple, subdued looks myself. Nothing really flashy or glowy at all. Not even the weapons.
My necromancer wears the Heritage set, very humble really. While many others have their human mesmer wearing pretty flashy outfits (and there’s nothing wrong with that), mine is wearing the jungle explorer outfit with a rather plain greatsword.
I like not standing out. I like looking average. Enemies tend to underestimate you this way.

I’d love to know if this was made into a tonic, and if it was, then how it is called. I hat tonics, but this is pretty much the look I want.

Its why i enjoyed Guildwars 1 Armor, it was sexy in a simple way and still looked stylish, this new stuff in GW2 is just over done and seems very aimed at an asian / anime type customer base..
Sadly that type doesn’t appeal to me at all, so i don’t buy anything or even bother with it.
And primarily being an Asura player everything tends to look terrible on them anyway… They don’t even give Asuras a female version of clothing anyway its saddening..
