Being that you play gw2, you obviously have good taste in games. I am currently looking for a mindless game to play here and there aside from gw2 in hopes of keeping this game as fresh as possible. I’m looking for a sides roller or space shooter type. Preferably for PC. Hope this post isn’t in the wrong section, and if it is I apologize. Thanks all, happy hunting!

I should also specify that I don’t want it to be a time sink as I’ll be devoting most of my time and energy into gw2.

Borderlands 2. No cash shop since its a “normal” game (B2P) lots of mindless shooting and very quirky characters.

Or check out the humble thq bundle. pay what you want for 6 THQ games… even just 1 dollar. par of the proceed go to charity.

Cancer is also a Zodiac sign.

Side-Scroller/Space-Shooter Types? That sums up most of my Steam Library… lol
Here’s hoping linking to Steam is fine (I don’t see why it wouldn’t be) and if I even know how to link these correctly:
I just recently got Really Big Sky, and that’s some great fun; However it’s not as good as Beat Hazard Ultra (probably my favorite shmup I can recall).
As for Side-Scrollers, I have really too many to name that I’d want to recommend… Though the top few I own on Steam would probably be (in alphabetical order) BIT.TRIP RUNNER, Braid, Cave Story, NightSky, & Trine.
And I definitely urge you to look into The Binding of Isaac (its a top down shooter/rogue-like and has taken so many hours from me) & Terraria (it’s a side-scrolling adventure-esque version of Minecraft that’s incredibly addictive with building or making new weapons/accessories). Both of those you can pick up & play without needing to invest a large amount of time into, but it’ll be hard putting ‘em back down since they’re both so well made.
That’s pretty much all I got that fits the bill & wont turn this post into a wall. If any of ’em tickles your fancy, feel free to find me on Steam for scores/co-op stuffs.

Battlefield 3 is one beauty of an FPS. (PC)

As long as you do not mind NPC’s saying “F” this and “F” that, Shiat this and Shiat that. Your character also cusses… ALOT.

But the graphics are amazing and the sound affects are to. “From dripping water sounds when it is raining, to a stray cats meow when in urburn war zones. to the sound of a pin pull from grenades.”
