so i just migrated..
If you’re in Europe & have changed to a NA server, you’re going to have higher pings & thus lag.
yeah, where are you? I imagine neither eu or na?
pick whichever region is geographically closer to you, or you will have high ping times.

I doubt you would get a refund, or moved back at no charge. Data Centers are located in Germany (EU) and Texas (NA). Most choose the Data Center and associated Server closest to them geographically.
oh well, thanks for the replys anyway , i am in eu btw
Why did you even move to LA if you live in EU? I just can’t understand your way of thinking.
You really did not think that it will give you lag?
got tons of friends in na from another game, we started gw2 in different times, i made some join recently, and some joined like months ago
but most didnt rly check and ended in different servers at start, was trying to get everyone to one particular server tho, didnt expect that lag, most of them live in america so it shouldnt be a problem for them though
I’m also curious why you switched to NA… Different playing schedule maybe?

Currently, I play another MMO with friends in EU on an EU server and experience similar lag for the last 6 months. Haven’t noticed an increase in lag, but it’s a different game, so I don’t know if would increase in GW2. Playing with friends (at least for me) outweighs the lag.
yeah, I know 0.5 second lag sucks, but at least in pve that shouldn’t be a problem, per say. pvp or wvw – yes, that would get you killed.

I honestly cannot notice any difference. Lag happens at times, especially in big growds, but equally on both regions.
I’m in NA and play on EU servers, because that’s where my Guild decided to start. I opened a second account on NA servers and haven’t noticed much difference at all. ‘Course, I don’t have a super wonder computer and I don’t do much PvP or WvW.
