Guild Wars 2

I haven’y played guild war 1 before

and just bought 3 books about guild wars story (Ghost of ascalon , Edge of destiny , Sea of sorrows)

do these 3 books story take place between gw1 and gw2 ?
which one should I read first , second and third ?
if I want to know more about gw1 story where should I go ? (ully I dont have to buy and play it )

Well your going to pretty hard pressed to find any good amount of Lore and Story about GW1 other than buying and playing.

will i understand the books if I haven’t played gw1 before ?

I don’t think it is necessary to know GW1 lore to understand the books, they take place between Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. Much closer to Guild Wars 2, than the original, if I remember correctly.

I would start with Sea of Sorrow. Then Ghosts of Ascalon and Edge of Destiny last.
