You could take the trouble of pinging your servers address manually using the command line. To find your servers address(I think this is correct, correct me if I’m wrong). Open a command prompt, then type; “nslookup account.guildwars2.com”(without the quotes), hit enter then enter the resulting IP address for your account like this; ping {resulting IP} and enter.

Use /IP to get server IP
Use free version of PingPlotter to check your connection.
Not every router has the ping return turned on since it eats bandwidth. My current average is around 90ms.

You can see your ping in windows resource monitor.
start -> search “resmon” -> network tab

I’d still prefer it in the game, most mmo’s show it why not GW2, because i feel mine is pretty high in game.
32ms ping on my end, but, I’m only 2 states from the US servers.

Thanks for all the info guys. Those of you who gave the out of game options, would you rather have an in game option?

don’t you see it somewhere when you go to preferences or something? …I’m sure I remember it’s in there on the bottom right corner on one of the tabs…can’t log in atm but I was pretty sure it was in there somewhere.
