hello im from stormbluff isles and have a few maxed toons on there. and at this moment we are winning the WvWvW. but i was wondering if the server is either dead or populated. its really hard to tell. so if some one could please entice me on this.

Last time i was on that server, some of the major guilds left and went to large servers. The server is not dead but it is not overly populated either.

i see. so would i be best to delete all of my characters and start ona new server with a higher wvw thing or no? i don’t mind pve but i get 80 i want to do wvw. and the character transfers are expeinsive.

What? I just transferred to SBI from a higher tier server. Your server is not dead I’m not even sure how you came to this conclusion to be honest. WvW is good and will be better after this week if we get paired up with a few higher tier servers. Than people will play more since the competitions numbers will be closer. I’m rather baffled to be honest by how you came to this conclusion. Good luck

sorry i just saw no one. i mean literally no one. anywhere even when trying to do dungeons. im also looking for a guild to play with ig you have one.

Dead = not at all
Heavily populated (like SoR, BG, JQ or TC) = no
Right in the middle = yes

I’ve been on several servers over these many months (including 2 of the current big 3 NA servers) and I would say SBI population is actually growing now (probably due to WvW performance) but the server is also very guild-orientated. That could be a good or bad thing depending on how you view guilds and want to actively participate in one (obviously they are very open on SBI if you want to take the first step and approach).

I would just spend the gold (you probably have it if you have several ’80s already) or real-life money to transfer. And for PvE, guesting is there for a reason besides doing the Taco-event.

I heard some odd comments opposite of this yesterday (where did all the people come from? so many people guesting to SBI? why?) while doing the boss-event farming and knowing it is actually just general server population growth/guild transfers.

Unless there was a mass exodus after 8:30 last night I say the population is good. Maybe people are still at work, school or whatever. I know the guild I’m in doesn’t really get going till around 6. That’s after we’ve all gotten home and eaten dinner. I guess I should change my signature now also, meh whatever.

Yeah, our server is pretty medium-population compared to the other servers, which is to say we still have a ton of people and have tons of players doing tons of things. Just look around and you’ll see. There are also lots of very good guilds on the server for varying types of content and of varying sizes. Depending on what you’re looking for, I’ve no doubt you can find it.

TE,Cats,Beast,Calm,Gold,Ddlg tons of others I’m missing. Walk in LA announce what your looking for. I told everyone I was new and talked to 2 guild leader for 20 minutes or more a piece. Told them I was a transfer hooked up with people in WvW. We had the same play style they invited me to join them. As long as your not an kitten or a crybaby most people are really nice. This is actually the most polite server I’ve ever been to.

I am on sbi and it is a nice size server with good people on it. Do what you want but I like the server and recommend it highly.

Being an SBI native from headstart, I’ve (lightly) participated in our T1 fights, watched WM and various other guilds leave us. But I feel right now we’re in a good spot. I like our WvW guilds. Olaf/Fiddle is a beast at leading EB. You should check that out sometime.

For PvE/dungeons, I say look for a guild with members who have a good attitude and who enjoy grouping up. Those are the kinda guilds you want to be a part of and help grow. And of course you have gw2lfg.com (or the new lfg tool) should you need to PUG something.
