This new system of bringing skills and the downed system to players more slowly might work for some new players who have trouble dealing with the current system. But for us experienced players this is really unecessary, insulting and simply breaks the fun of levelling an alt.

I suggest to make this new levelling system optional for players who have trouble levelling the normal way. When you make a character there should be a checkbox with “I am an experienced player and do not require extra guidance” or something along those lines.

This way players who are having problems with the current system still get the help they require, and experienced players can enjoy the game without all the, for us, unecessary handholding.

The checkbox with “I am an experienced player and do not require extra guidance” unlocks at level 60. XD

It also will only allow you to recheck it once every day and has a cost of 20gold and 5 skill points.

This would be amazing. Just hide it as an option on an obscure NPC in Lion’s Arch or something, so that only players who are experienced enough to look for such things would even find it (e.g. no concern about newbies accidentally choosing it).

Or words to that effect.
