take too long to kill sb and maw
Most likely because of the f2p players. They are still new and don’t have full exo equip, so the Zerg-dps is lower.
More people. Lower DPS. Less people destroying portals while more people AFK auto attacking a non targetable SB. Probably more possible reasons.
It more likely has to do with the amount of ftp-accounts in the starter zones.
Scaling of worldbosses is not very good and the events reach max amount of people easily. The amount of people in the map is based on the entire map.
So with F2P, the starterzones are much more busy. so when SB and maw hit, there will be less people there to actually participate.
Further, scaling doesn’t look at player level. So a good amount of players participating will be newbs, also increasing the amount of time the boss take.
As time goes by, the new players get better and more spread out, the time it takes will go back to normal again.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
That happend when full equipped 80s cry all the time that those mobs die to
fast .. and suddenly you have a lot of level 15 newbies there.
But hey .. give SP 4 times more life because 80s want moar challenge in starterzones
so make those bosses even more boring.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Well the HP boost to FE keeps it from evaporating in 30 seconds. Now it takes over a minute.
RIP City of Heroes
So, good news if you are running late I guess?

Guess this is a case of “evil elitists” agenda gone wrong. So, what is it now with that contradiction – WB should last longer or shorter? Or just always the opposite of what “teh ebil elitists” want?
I am not sure what would be the best level. You want it where someone in the level of the zone it is in can kill it and get some loot that makes them want to come back again but at the same time they need to work for wiping out that boss.
Basically, we do not need a claw of jormag type thing for them. An event that is hard to do without dying … and then gives you rewards that are not much better that a couple of goes at the shaman.
How is Jormag hard to do without dying? If you want them to make SB more challenging, but you’re dying at Jormag, chances are you’re going to find whatever challenge they add to SB to be extremely difficult.
hate jormag… 2 reasons… 1st, if you drop him below 50% in the first phase, he heals to 50%… 2nd, the event takes to kitten long, 20 minutes to do a world boss is waaaay to long… for a WB.

He can be done in 6 min or less if people actually actively participate. For phase 2, they need to help destroy the ice pillars rather than stand in the one spot and auto attack.

What i personally want i go back to before the megaserver where we did Claw
with 7-10 people sometimes .. or doing svanir shaman with 3-4 people also
was often fun .. you know when he comes down from his spot runs around
the ice lake and trys to charge you no and then.
That was at least more challenging than just add more hp’s or some gimmicks
that just make the thing looooonger. Portals .. fear spam .. yeah .. great. Oh
and of course make them invuln for 99% of the fight
