my charr is currently a master chef – and because of the wardrobe, i wanted to see what the chef outfit would look on him – i clicked on ‘style’ scrolled down to the chef outfit and clicked it for preview – only to find…. that my charr doesnt have the tall chef hat…. in fact, the head gear as well as the ‘chefs tools’ that comes with it made me look more like some kind of torturer or butcher, my charr makes fine cuisine, not hacked up pieces of meat… – i checked my characters of other races and found that all of them had the proper attire as well as the proper tools for making actual food – the fact that my charr would look like he’d rather be cranking a rack persuaded me not to buy the outfit

i’m not demanding anything but i would appreciate if the charr chef outfit actually made my charr look like he could make tasty food

And at the same time, thousands of players may enjoy the char version of a cook. Especially when Char is a much more violent race, so it makes sense.

You’re the only one whos complained about it, so I guess you wont be buying a cook outfit.

Meat!

Of all the races I like the look of the cook outfit on charr the best. But I agree, it is very much a butchers look. All those nice hooks

“Whose Kitten is this?” – “It’s a Charr baby.”
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”

just because the race as a whole is more warlike, doesnt mean we’re all uncivilised brutes – look at evon gnashbade, he uses military tactics to run the most successful companies in tyria
as for me, i have a sweet tooth so i like making cakes, fruit salads and other tasty things

I actually bought the chef outfit for my Charr BECAUSE of how it looks. And the teeny tiny sous chef charr is mega adorable.

Meat meat Uh huh, singin’ about meat. OOOH YEahhhhh.

I would love to see crafting outfit like in ff11 where they can “buff” crafting a bit nothing major more on the lines of skill up + and may be more likely to craft crit.

Main : Jski Imaginary ELE (Necromancer)
Guild : OBEY (The Legacy) I call it Obay , TLC (WvW) , UNIV (other)

Let’s face it, the cooking chef outfit is the last time they tailored gear to fit a charr’s body and culture. The traditional human chef hat would look silly on a charr head. Just like it does on that NPC in Diesa plateau, in my opinion of course.

Ok guys, what you have to understand is that the Charr designs come later than the Human and Nord designs. That’s why everything looks screwed up on Charr. Heck, most of the masks on the gem store don’t even show anything on the Charr model! Two more examples are the ascended helm and Orr temple helm. The ascended helm is a complete covered helm on other characters, not on Charr. The Orr temple helm is also a complete covered helm with sweet skeleton like mask, not on Charr. I have played a Charr as my main since day one, and since day one, it has been like this. We need more love Anet!

As a follow up to the subject here, I have the chef outfit, but what I really wish is that you could use different pieces of it. For instance, I really wanted to use the chef “helm” by itself. I bought it with that intention, I was obviously ignorant, but needless to say I was disappointed I couldn’t do this.

“Aah, FRESH MEAT!”

Seriously, do you think that Charrs cook pasta? They butcher asuras and grill them or eat raw

I’m rather fond of the chef set! Like, almost eerily so.

For my Norn, he’s running around with is, sans hat, and he actually looks like he’s wearing a variety of tribal robe.

My Asura chef/engineer has it too. It really fits with her flame thrower. <3

My Charr warrior has it as well, and he looks delightfully brutal. I really should give him two axes to go with it. }]:3 I also get to actually see his fur pattern! Being heavy armor, I missed it so.

Many alts; handle it!
