What do you not get about a living world if some one dose something and if there is any true meaning to it then it MUST changes something. The old way is to just reset something over and over and over never changing all your work means nothing in mmorpgs like that. This way there is room for something new every time and not to have old rotting content that in the end no one will play after a few months of it being out.

The thing is if you just simply reset every thing you do once you done it in a game where you do not have progression then what IS the point? In mmorpg you where reward for farming endlessly with better gear so you could fight harder mobs in GW2 you do not have this. So GW2 is story driven for the story to feel real to the players you need to have some mean full outcome to the player action. If you just simply have something start over once you complete it then the meaning is removed.

That is more of a players and your own problem you must deal with. If you feel that you must complete every thing 100% why are you able to waist your time playing a video game? How can you not complete every thing in real life that is a great deal more time limited then any thing in this game? If you play this game or any game purely to complete it then you have comply missed the point of playing a GAME.

They will not be “taking it away” – this one is totally on the players. Our actions will destroy the Tower zone.

Think about that for a minute. Players. Destroying. Zones. In an MMO.

Your missing the point comply when you have a new event in other mmorpg ppl play them mostly for the new loot and the progression of gear. When you do not have this gear or progression you must have another reason to get ppl to want to do it. You give them a story with an begging mid and ending. If the story just simply repeats over and over the story lose is impact to the player. To give a story a real ending as in “yes you are changing the world in a meaningful way by doing this” makes the story all the more richer. That is the different between being a passive player in story that will start a new every time you finished it to a more active player of a story that will end when you finish it.

No overflows is a very good thing for LS, if it is true Anet is really learning.

No overflows is a very good thing for LS, if it is true Anet is really learning.

I have been in lots of overflows in the tower. Though I am not quite sure what you mean.

I’m pretty sure the bar moved last night right on time with reset, so my guess is that the whole “players affecting it” wasn’t entirely true and the bar will just progress every daily reset until in two weeks time, when it disappears forever.

Molten Facility did a very similar thing, the bar progressed every two days and the location of the dungeon moved.

I’m not sure about that…the bar moved on our server before reset, so obviously something other than reset affected it.

It would be interesting to hear from the Devs about whether injecting while playing on an overflow server has any effect on your home server.

You could always keep running the decks, and not injecting the anti-toxin.. Would likely go for a long time before returning to plain old but attractive kessex hills.

I suspect they wanted it to run as a world-challenge between servers, like killing Teq 2.0 for the first time.

Hmm…but if your party is made up of people from many different servers on the overflow map, whose ‘home server’ is the instance created on? The first person to enter the instance’s server? Out of curiosity…why?

I’d rather see people have a chance to play the content and not have to rush to catch it. Maybe someone’s away for a week or even two on vacation. Why not let them have a crack at it too?

Having reread the release notes, I don’t think it really matters whether we inject toxin or not. I think the bar is more like the bar we had in the first Halloween patch. It slowly filled up (or was it going down?) until it hit the mark where something substantial happened. Which for the tower, will be in about 2 weeks.

I may be wrong, but…. It would be nice if we actually controlled the content. Maybe.

I tried, but the players on the overflow i was dont even atacked mobs -__-, they looked like mindless zerglets just healing and rushing (offcourse they died all the time).

Players dont care about assisting or rez also, pitty i cant be within the server i choosed to play, other reason to hate overflow system.
