so im thinking about this proff for pve stuff only

no idea what to take betwin them always played ele alot and warrior so idea what to exept from thoese and what would be the most fun to play with i like aoe dmg and pritty much that i can make mistakes without dieing horbily

i dont play pvp and wvw so dont say anything about that

If you love ele, I would recommend thief. Both are squishy. Thief offers a few AoEs with shortbow and some melee multi-targeting with sword or dagger. Both classes have big bursty damage capacity.

I love mesmer but it isn’t typically a high-damage class and doesn’t offer much in way of AoEs (yet, as elite spec will have supportive wells). It has interesting supports and mechanics but it sounds as if you’d be happier with thief.

Thief is awesome at PvP, but arguably worst at PvE because main focus is single-target damage. They do have shortbow that offers a few AOE attacks, but doesn’t do a lot of damage.

Mesmer is excellent at both ranged (Greatsword) and melee (Sword) with a great mix of single/AOE attacks.

wel i didnt like my ele that much its kinda boring with staff and the other sets arent my thing anyway

think im going to try mesmer sounds fun and found a full written guide on the mesmer part of the forums how to good lvl it up

Mesmer. Great for PVP and PVE. many different builds to fit your play style.

I have lvl 80 thief and lvl 80 Mesmer for over a year and I play Mesmer 99% of the time. Much more fun.

Why noth both? ^^ I’ve mained mesmer (3yrs) with a side of thief (2.5yrs) they’re both really great professions.
