Here’s hoping it happens on the dot — I can easily be up to midnight eastern tonight, but I do recall that it takes time for the game to notice the anniversary. Plus only one of my alts was made minutes after launch, the other 4 from launch were created randomly for names then rerolled once I wanted to start playing them.

I wouldn’t mind a Birthday Cake backpack. With 2 candles and the words, I’m 2, on it.

I expect to see:

1. Mini Mystical Dragon
2. Birthday Booster

Anything else is up to speculation.

A free Black Lion Weapon ticket would be nice though.

A level 60 scroll like people have said would be nice. A birthday booster is nice of course, but I don’t care too much about it. If we get a mini, I hope it’s something we can forge since most people will get at least 4-5 of them, and I hope it’s not a relatively boring one like Queen Jenna.

I also like skins, either weapon or armor/backpiece.

Just tested the Birthday Blaster.
It’s an “environmental weapon” that changes your first 5 skills. You get 2 skills.
1. Skill shoots 1 cake.
2. Skill shoots 3 cakes.

Seriously. This is a joke.
Oh and the Scroll that gets you 5 Skill-Points is soulbound. Not even accountbound.

Looks like the 2nd year title is Veteran heh. Meh can’t say I sad that I not getting the 2nd year stuff till early Oct.

I’m hearing that in LA… my characters ticked BACK to 729 from 730 (account wide still says 730!?) at about 9:15.. no presents on any of them yet lol

I heard that Oculus Rift will be released in May.

Because ArenaNET learned last year that players raged over getting multiple Jenna minis, this year we don’t deserve anything useful.

The booster is the same as the last year’s from what I see, and they do work properly, don’t they? I still have a few and one active at the moment.

I like the birthday blaster. Would’ve been happier if we got a mini too. But I’ll take what I can get.

As to the rest of the stuff… Meh. I’ll just go back to what I was doing. Do we at least get another 1 AP out of the Veteran title?

Why in the world did they think we would need even more lvl 20 scrolls – that just doesn’t make sense.

So much entitlement over free stuff. I hope this isn’t how you guys react to birthday presents in real life. Birthday blaster seems like a big improvement over mini jennah so I’m not sure what all the complaining is about.

The birthday blaster is pretty cool, permanent 15% magic find, 15% experience bonus, and 10% karma bonus? Plus, the really cool delivery system. Yes please.

Two problems though:

1. This uses a very rare and valuable limited edition skin, Scarlet’s Kiss, that’s kind of unfair to all the players who earned this skin fair and square. Well as fair and square as you can get in a game where droprates are out of control and nothing is as rewarding as mindlessly farming gold. But still, it’s kind of cheap to reuse a skin, that’s like the digital version of regifting.

2. It takes up ANOTHER inventory slot, seriously? Do the ANet devs have infinite inventory space or something? (That was sarcastic, I know they do not) Because they seem to give no consideration to how precious inventory space is to the rest of us.

The Birthday Blaster appears to look like Scarlet’s gun but with a slightly different skin and a little glow effect.

Here is the buff that running over a cake shot from it gives you:

• +40 to All Attributes
• +10% Karma
• +15% Magic Find
• +15% Experience From Kills
• 10min duration
• 5 seconds of +33% movement speed (yes, 5 whole seconds…)
  30 second sugar rush debuff after speed boost wears off where you cannot get the speed boost again to prevent stacking duration.

You cannot receive the cake nourishment if you already have nourishment active.

• This is good as you don’t have to worry about your expensive food getting replaced by accidentally running over a cake.
• This is bad though since you cannot remove your active nourishment (or any buff) manually, so you cannot choose to get the cake buff until the timer wears out on your active nourishment.
• Not sure if gaining the cake buff after activating the metabolic primer causes the cake buff to adopt the primer duration or if it is exempt from being extended with the primer.

Oh, so the Birthday Blaster gives you additional buffs? Hmm… I might need to revise my initial appraisal then.

yeah this is weird and is going to make it essentially useless most of the time. Seems it would have been better to put an “eat” interaction when running over the cake so you could choose to keep your previous buff or to get the cake buff. I honestly can’t think of many times I’m going to skip the food buff in order to get the cake.

I can see the birthday blaster being useful in general PvE or when leveling alts. The 10 minutes will be a bit of a pain to keep reapplying though.

Any level restrictions? I can see people using it for key farming if there are none.

It would be useful if it were not for the fact you can’t get the boost if you have eaten any other food item until the original food boost wears out. There is no way to choose to accept the cake boost if you already have a food boost on your toon. So, my toon just recently used a metabolic booster and I won’t be able to get the boost from my own cake for almost 24 hours of game play. So, at the moment is is just a funny looking, and useless gun.

Nope just tried it it works on other people. Not if you already have sugar rush though. :/ Even the NPCs get the buff lol. Even minis and ranger pets!

for me lvl 20 ore 40 ore 60 scrolls wil be great because i quit for a very very long time
and am stil looking for my class atm i am very rusty and cant make up my mind yet

and with my very busy real life and full time job i dont have the time and luxery
ore the energy to lvl fast ad all

and with some high lvl characters i can relax doing things and explore this great game
and not having a hard time doing things

Level 80 scrolls would be amazing, but I’ll take what I can get, even if that may be anothre level 20 scroll.

You got your wish from the sounds of it. More level to 20 scrolls.

I think the biggest problem people have with the lvl 20 scroll, is you have to be under 20 to get any benefit from them. It should just add 20 levels, no matter your current level.

So you’re saying I can keep my +Power/Precision food AND, literally, FORCE the sillies in PuG dungeons to, at least, have an active food buff? Wahoo! This is amazing!!

*Maybe next year they’ll give us the ‘Multipurpose Elixirgun’ for potions too.

You have to have a character that is 2 years old and it’s one birthday present for each character that reaches a birthday.
