top professions for max condi cleanse
Guardians have a better condi cleanse thank warriors imo
Revenant because I can’t be wrong until HoT comes out.
Ele (cantrip + trait + ether + staff)
Engi (Elixers + traits)
Guard (shouts + trooper + trait + cleansing whirls)
Ranger (trait + spring)
Warrior (shouts + warhorn)
Thief (stealth + trait)
Mes (stealth + trait I think)
Necro (could be wrong about this one)
First off, forgive me for not knowing the names of specific skills as I am too lazy to find the proper ones.
The Mesmer: The glamour skill works well to remove condis along with the mantra that removes one per use.
The Ranger: There’s a heal skill that does AOE condi remove with healing that’s pretty decent. Also, there is a signet so your pet can draw all condis from you.
The Engineer: There’s an elixir that converts all condis into boons. Plus, there is a trait to make all elixirs (including toolbelt elixirs) to remove one condi upon use. If you apply that with elixir cooldown its quite good
The Thief: I believe there is an option to remove condi in stealth, Havent really looked into any more condi removal for this class
The Elementalist : I think there is a trait where every time regeneration is applied to you, you lose a condition, plus the utility skill that removes 3 conditions on use is decent. I think (going off memory) there is also a trait that with every cantrip you gain regen on use, meaning condi removal on use.
All that being said, I’d say Mesmer, ranger and thief have the worst condi removal and too right. Rangers do a tonne of damage from a far meaning less risk for them. Mesmers are good at ranged too and are a pain with their clones and phantasms. Thieves are just high risk high reward depending on the person playing them. Necros condi removal is too slow for my liking but it seems to balance out well because of that. The Warriors condi removal is also too slow for me even with the burst skills cleansing, I feel without the stances the warrior loses its “heavy armor” feel to it. The Guardians are absolutely fine. The condi removal is great on guardians, I just wish they would concentrate on their less used skills.
Engis and Eles if traited right have decent and regular condi cleanse try them.
Well depends on the condis i suppose? Some skills and traits can remove CERTAIN conditions. That being said, all classes have a fair amount of condi cleanse options, however it is not always easy to gain these condi cleanses without sacrificing other things. There is also a difference between group condi remove and individual condi remove. For example necros have a signet that can transfer all condis to the target, and a heal that consumes all conditions. But a shoutwar with trooper runes can strip condi for up to 5party members…
Like a lot of things in this game it really depends on the situation.
I’d say Ele: They have a 15 sec cool down healing skill that remove 8 conditions + several other ways to remove condi
I think a guard will win Condi reduction runes +Condi reduction foodcleansing/condi transferring sigils.

But you don’t need to go full Condi cleanse to win against a Condi enemy. For example, a decent warrior can win vs a Condi bomber with only bezerker stance and cleansing ire trait is he is fast enough.

Guardian without sacrificing too much using the generic 45005 build gets access to 5 condi cleanses. Traiting for absolute resolution gives you group condi clear when you use virtue of resolve 1 (if you take renewed focus and use it, it will recharge virtue of resolve 2)
Whirling in you symbol or wall of reflection will condi cleanse anyone struck by the bolts 3. Running offhand focus gives you ray of judgment another condi cleanse 4. And then take purging flames for aoe condi cleanse or use as a blast field for might 5.
You still do respectable damage with the build as well as bringing other useful utilities to the group.
so if im making a sylvari thief Blackestone skinned and Ice Eyes White Glow what should my personality? Charm Dignity Ferocity?
Mesmer with Harmonious Mantra and Mender’s Purity traits with the skills Mantra of Recovery, Mantra of Resolve, Nullfield and Arcane Thievery.
That would be a little over the top though.

Guardians hands down. They are the meta choice for condi cleansing in WvW and PvE. They’re also very good at condi cleansing in PvP but less popular there.
This is all the condi cleansing that a guardian has at his disposal. No other profession comes even close to this amount of condi cleanse at their disposal:
1. Signet of Resolve (heal skill): Cure 1 condition every 10 seconds.
2. Purity (trait): Cure 1 condition every 10 seconds.
3. Absolute Resolution (trait): Removes 3 conditions from yourself and allies.
4. Pure voice: (trait): You and allies affected by shouts convert 1 condition to a boon.
5. Runes of The Trooper (rune): You and allies affected by shouts cure 1 condition.
6. Purging Flames (utility skill): Removes 3 conditions for you and 4 allies and reduces condition duration with 33%.
7. Contemplation of Purity (utility skill): Convert all your conditions to boons.
8. Smite Condition (utility skill): Cure 1 condition and damage nearby foes.
9. Bow of Truth (utility skill): Summon an arcane bow that cures conditions on you and allies.
10. “Save Yourselves!” (utility skill): Draw all conditions from nearby allies to yourself.
11. Ray of Judgement (focus 4): Cast a ray that cures 1 condition on each ally it hits.
12. Symbol of Wrath + Whirling Wrath (greatsword 4 + 2): Cure 1 condition on each ally you hit with it.
13. Cleansing Flame (torch 5): Cures up to 9 conditions on up to 3 allies.
I might have forgotten a few condi cleanse skills on guardian, these 13 are from the top of my head without looking anything up.
So there you have it, 13 sources of condi cleanse, over half of them being group condi cleanses. That is really good and no other class comes close. That said, obviously not single useful build will be able to use all 13 sources of condi cleanse, but most builds will have access to at least half of these condi cleanses, even if you go with a full offensive build you’ll still have access to most of these group condi cleanses and that is why the guardian is so good and so popular in WvW and PvE.
I’d say ele. Ele can cleanse condi’s upon swapping to water and when getting regeneration. Since swapping to water also gives regeneration, that’s 2 condi’s gone right there. Then you have the dodge in water, which cures a condition. Then 2 water fields giving regeneration, so 2 more condi cleanses. Need some more? Cantrips can give regen when traited too, bam, more condi cleanse. There is even a cantrip that cleanses 3 condis and a heal that cleanses a crapload of condis. When you spammed every single condi cleanse, return to your dodges (which you can trait for refilling faster even), which have a short cooldown or your water attunement and it’s skills, which also have very short cooldowns.
Guardian has by far the best condi management for groups thanks to Save Yourselves and stuff like Pure Voice, Trooper runes, the signet heal, etc.
Mesmer can in theory keep up with that, but it seems impractical to get Nullfield, the cleanse mantra and the other skills into one build.
Guardians are pretty much one of the better classes, if not the best, for condi cleanse. Running Purity, Pure of Voice, trooper runes, the Signet of Resolve, and a variety of shouts (I run HtL and SYG) gives the guardian some significant personal condi removal, and generous party condi removal. The runes 6th effect stacks with pure of voice, meaning each shout removes a boon and converts a boon (cant remember which takes priority if you only have 1 condi at the moment).
Anyone rating Ranger low, you might wanna double check your facts. Not saying they’re the best but they have plenty of really good cleansing options (often affecting their allies as well):
Healing Spring (30s cooldown): A moderate initial heal to yourself and your pet. Creates a water field that pulses 6 times over 10 seconds, regenerating and clearing one condition. Every PvE Ranger worth their salt carries this or considers it.
Signet of Renewal (60s cooldown): Passively cleanses a condis every 10 seconds from you and your pet, active causes your pet to take all conditions. Follow it up with a pet swap and that’s a full party cleanse.
Brown Bear – Shake It Off (25s): 2 condis cleared off of everyone in 600 units.
Spirit of Nature – Nature’s Renewal (30s): Lasts 60s, with a 180 second cooldown. You can activate it to remove 5 conditions from everyone in a 600 unit radius. Oh and it picks up downed allies, including yourself if you can time it right.
Lightning Reflexes (40s): Removes Immobilized, breaks stuns and evades out of the way of the big attack the opponent is throwing at you because they think you’re stuck. Sure, it’s not a very flexible cleanse (untraited), but for PvP possibly the most important conditions to cleanse is immobilisation.
Evasive Purity (10s): Nature Magic Master trait, removes blind and poison when you dodge. The cooldown makes it kinda meh, but it’s just redundant cleansing at this point.
Survival of the Fittest: Nature Magic Grandmaster trait, cleanses 2 conditions whenever you use a survival skill. Like Entangle (60s), Lightning Reflexes (40s), Quickening Zephyr (60s) or Muddy Terrain (25s). You can even have all that on one skill bar if you want and it’d play great in PvP, with healing spring if you still feel short on cleanses.
And the classic, “I sure hope my Empathic Bond procs soon”: Wilderness Survival Grandmaster that sends three of your conditions to your pet every 10 seconds.
Personally, I think Mesmers are the weakest. With their best option being a minor trait that cleanses 2 condis upon using a healing skill. I’ve seen a decent number of Mesmers walking away from fights (like Copper) with well over a minute of cripple. I always try to carry some kind of team cleanse for that kind of situation, but Mesmers don’t have anything that functions without a target and usually their cleanses don’t do anything but cleanse.

Interesting.
For guard, with pure of voice and trooper runes and all utilities as shouts you end up with six Condi cleanses about every 35 to 40 seconds. They do help team mates, but I wouldn’t call that amazing renewal. Then you could trait purity and use The healing signet, which add another six cleanses every 30 seconds. You could go 4 into virtues for absolute resolution which is three cleanses every 48 seconds but then you are x,x,x,6,4.
So if you did that, you would be about 12 every 30 seconds, if you average AR, 14 every 30 seconds.
Seems to me like War with mending and trait restorative strength is up to 7 every 20 seconds, cleansing ire is 3 every 10 so 9 every 30.
Those two alone give 18 every thirty seconds. And all utility skills are available still.
Ran out of time, by having fun theory crafting now! Will have to start calculating for each class! I don’t know ranger, med, ele or thief well, so I will do those last.

While mesmers are likely the weakest in condition cleansing department, your assumption is wrong.
They have:
1. An aoe field that rips boons from enemies and cleanses conditions on allies, requires no target
2. Mantra 2×2 conditions removed per charge up, may be traited with more charges, requires no target and has like 15 sec cooldown. Most popular option combined with Mender’s Purity
3. Phantasmal disenchanter, bouncing boon/condition removal that prioritizes you after the initial target, requires a target
4. Arcate thievery, transfers 3 conditions to target
5. Mender’s purity trait, cure 2 conditions on using heal (= a lot of removal with healing mantra, but running a healing mantra..)
6. Trait to remove a condition on torch skill uses, extremely mediocre
7. Trait to remove a condition on signet use, same as above
8. Trait to aoe remove conditions on shatter, very niche
However, ranger does indeed rival this lack of any USEFUL options.

Necro (Consume Conditions + Well of Power + Plague Signet)
Added some missing ones in bold that I knew off the top of my head, likely missing some still.

Necro staff 4 also removes conditions from the caster, and deathly swarm (dagger offhand 4) does the same thing. And gathering plague (underwater death shroud four) pulls conditions from your allies to yourself. But yeah, consume conditions, deathly swarm, and staff 4 are all self-only condi removals/transfers.
Guard overall.
Guard and war for group cleanses.
Then ranger for individual and group cleanses.
Thief/Mez/Engi on the bottom.

don’t forget necro also has well of power, which converts conditions into boons, Lich form 5 which also is a cleanse.
