trading posts/portals too far apart
What does portal distance from TP, necessary newbie garden champ nerf, and the change to VK have to do with community separation in a game with /map and the ability to say “hey, let’s meet here”?
Vigil keep didn’t feel alive, it felt congested. It felt like exactly what it was: The spacing of a city and all of its organically spaced services crammed into the top floor of a keep, right down to the NPC auto-target misfires and the unnecessary PC resource overhead.
And the champ trains aren’t community. They are a loose hive mind of easy-mode gold farming that loses its kitten the moment someone attacks a champ out of order because heaven forbid someone doesn’t like running in circles.
Vigil keep was always going to be a temporary zone. It’s a fortress that got turned into a refugee camp, for crying out loud. If anything, the way LA is spaced out now, it actually functions better. And seriously, you’re complaining about the distance between the portals and the TP?
As for the champ trains, Azure Fang summed it up nicely. I have thoughts that I’ve said in other threads so won’t say it again here.
Waypoints are free in towns.
I like that there’s 3 separate hub areas now, it means that at peak times you don’t have everyone crammed together in the same small spaces.
Maybe it’s different on other servers but on Desolation it’s not uncommon at peak times to be unable to even see the bank/TP NPCs. You just have to run into the crowd and assume they’re there.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
The current LA is not how it is going to look after all the repairs and re-arrangements are finished.
Why is there only ONE guild bank that is located far away from the other banking locations?

AHH – have you been in LA lately? Your comment is not true same with the other main cities – they are close enough as it only take a minute to get there.
