Just asking why do i have to use transmutation charges after the first “free” transmute on backpack slot item( like the feather wings ) that i bought from the gem store?

If i were to upgrade my backpack slot item (better stats) i have to spend transmutation charges (cost money/gems or time ie: clearing a map/pvp) on it even thou i payed for the item with gems? I do not want to spend more money to use it multiple times after i payed for it.

Different characters also need to spend transmutation charges on their specific backpack slot item. So multiple characters multiple transmutation charges.

So why cant some gem store items be like the outfit section instead of the wardrobe where i can change whenever i want and free of charge or making it free in the wardrobe section like the zenith skins?

Because they would be cutting themselves short on Transmutation charge sales in the store if it was unlimited free transmute.

Like was said, Anet wants your money. So if that means making you pay to use stuff you already paid for, then so be it. Their greed knows no bounds.

Be glad you have the new Wardrobe system. Before, we had to buy multiple skins just to use them on different characters. If you wanted something like the Aetherblade armor on your Warrior and Guardian, you had to buy two of them. And if you overwrote it at some point cause you wanted a change, and then wanted it back, you had to buy it again.

(totally sounded like a “back in my day” rant)

Guys…. Transmutation charges a freaking easy to get. Go in PVP, do one match, and you got one.

Create a new char, explore one of the starting towns, and you get one free charge. Do 5 + Lion Arch, you get 6 total. Delete char, redo the explo with a new one, enjoy infinite free transmutation charges.
