i dont get why u would do this. i felt betrayed when the laurel amulets came, and i still feel betrayed.

I bet it eventually shows up in a collection

All named exotics are basically vanity items.

Triforge Pendant will never be worth its price even if they allow you to change stats.

Implementation of Ascended Accessories.

The First ascended items players were able to obtain were rings.
These rings were obtained through FotM.

Some time afterward, The Laurel system was said to be implemented, which would allow purchase of ascended amulets.

At the time of this announcement, there were several players who had worked diligently to earn the materials required to craft an exotic amulet called the triforge pendant.

Rather then making the amulet useless after the implementation of ascended amulets, Anet developers decided to allow players to upgrade their exotic Triforge pendant to an ascended version. This was done simply to acknowledge the fact that players had worked hard to earn the amulet, and they deserved to be able to continue using it.

Use it on a weird PvP build?

I never understood why that thing is so expensive. I can get other exotic amulets with the same stats at a fraction of the price. And it’s not like this amulet is a vanity item, no one but you can even see it. Hell even ascended trinkets are easier to obtain (laurels, guild commendations).

You might not understand this, but not all vanity items need to be on display.

Yes thats against the carrot on a stick mentality of MMOs but some people just like to have a certain item regardless of how other think of them.

It will never be worth it until it’s upgraded to legendary and can switch stats.

I completely forgot about this item.

Guess that is proof enough of its uselessness.

It’s not worth it to make anymore with the existence of Syzygy, obviously, but back in its original day, it was quite worth it (when Syzygy and other celestial amulets didn’t exist yet).
