So, that new speech bubble with the blue text… Is there any way to get rid of it ? REALLY annoying to be playing the fen, and then suddenly in blue text “BOING” or “NOONE CAN CATCH US” etc :’/

The only thing that changed was the color of the speech bubble though.

Really? hmm odd.. I’ve never seen that bubble in game before..

Heard the sounds, but never seen the speech bubble (of the other owners) → I don’t own one of those things myself

Can’t recall ever seeing a speech bubble myself until this patch hit; and all my Asura are running the Tron backpack.

Was already looking at the options but couldn’t see an option to turn it off.

There’s always been a speech bubble.

Though an option to keep the dialogue and not have the speech bubble would be cool.

But what if we like speech bubbles, but don’t want that god awful back items bubble, not to mention it’s actual sound?
It breaks imersion if you’re reading/listening to NPC dialogue to then get, that. -you’re-leaking- -weeeeee-

I tried that option, and still see the blue text (but anything in /s and /p doesn’t have a bubble anymore) <- the opposite of the effect I’m looking for:

I like the /s and /p bubbles but can’t stand the *tron bubbles -_- :P

You can’t go round asking other people to swap the back pack skin out…
The problem is that other people are using the skin, which then shows up on my/others dialogue/sound waves. Why would I or anyone own/use a skin which is an annoyance to ones-self?

That option doesn’t seem to do anything Ester either on or off. Not even sure what it’s supposed to be doing but I assume it is only related to when a player states something in /s?

At any rate my backpack still obscures my screen with a chat-bubble whenever it makes a random comment and I can’t recall it ever doing that until this patch.

Seriously? So If someones saying “downed” in a WvW blob because he needs help and you look out for his speech bubble, you cant see it because you had to shut it down for the kittening annoying backpack?
