Is it possible to experience how a Legendary Weapon feels before grinding for one?

using the weapon, swinging it, using skills, the running stowed animation etc

I’m aware of the “preview” mechanic

Is there an addon for example or a modification? maybe even an area in the game which lets you test different weapons?

Any tips on chosing or finding a weapon that feels good for you?

I like the idea of there being some kind of area/seperate instance where you can run around to test skins, but right now your only real option is find someone who has it and watch them run around, or search for the weapon on youtube.

There is no such mechanic in the game. Your best bet is look for video and/or (in game) to ask legendary owners what they think. (Nearly every wielder is happy to discuss how happy or sad they are about their e-bling.)

Among owners, there seem to be three basic philosophies:

• Get the legendary that will used most often, even if it’s not your favorite.
• Get the one that is your favorite, even if it isn’t used that often.
• Figure out which is your favorite and completely adapt your build/main so that it will be used that often.

Another factor is race: my favorite race is asura, but weapons and armor are often barely noticeable. In contrast, gear details stand out really well for Norn (but I can’t stand the voice actors; for me, the male voice is barely tolerable only because the female voice is that much worse).

Probably not a huge help, but if you go to a crafting station/bank, you can see all the skins available in the Wardrobe Storage tab.
