turning off taskbar notification?

When you alt + tab out of GW2, the taskbar blinks when whatever you were waiting for has loaded or is ready. Personally I love it.
I love it, as well. One of the best QoL additions. Now if they would only allow you to log in invisibly. Maybe next time. =)

As I said, it continues to pops up a task bar I chose to hide. With load times being only a few seconds, why the heck do I need the entire Windows task bar notifying me for? Or any notification for that matter, it’s a few seconds! No less it covers the bottom of the game window requiring me to click the games tab in the task bar to hide the whole task bar again. This is a seriously annoying and unwelcome addition. There should be an option to turn this off.

For some people it probably takes more than a few seconds, and they want to look at something else while it loads instead of a loading screen. As far as the whole taskbar thing, if I hid my taskbar, which I don’t and doubt most do, then I could see this being annoying. As I said though I personally love it and think it is a nice improvement, as well as the salvage change.
Now if they would only allow you to log in invisibly. Maybe next time. =)

No, what was added was the ability to keep your status between play sessions. But, if you will notice, you still show up in the Guild Roster as having been online, if only for a moment, each time you log in. Thus, you are showing up online somewhere between starting the launcher and actually entering the game.
Plus, you can not log in invisibly if you did not log out the previous session as invisible.
I also love this new feature, but I support OPs request to have it optional, as I always do (support options that is, I have no idea who OP is).
