Hey, Im just curious as to whether or not Im the only person having a hard time believing that Anet has disabled the ability to preview stuff in game for something that my profession can’t use?

Ex:
My engi cannot preview heavy /light armor
my guardian cannot preview light / medium
my necro cannot preview medium/heavy

If it was intentional, I think it’s a mistake. Previewing any item should be possible, regardless of whether you can equip it or not. Often people share links of items that have dropped, and requiring you to be on a character that can equip it is quite unreasonable.

This is only affecting armor right now, not weapons that I can see. I think it’s a mistake if intentional, and would request the original function be restored. This in essence cuts out two-thirds of all armors from being seen while on any given character, and prevents you from seeing something on one character before switching to another to purchase it, for example. This has nothing to do with being able to buy soulbound items you can’t equip, that I think should not be allowed, but previewing should always be allowed.

It needs to be changed back/fixed.

Previews don’t seem to show particle effects, either.

Please please Anet.. if this preview thing is intentional and not a bug, PLEASE change it back how it was, because this is a senseless and frustrating thing. I don’t know now if I want to save something I loot for an alt now. Also sometimes when I find a cool skin I can’t use I will throw it in the guild bank. But now I have no way of knowing if something is worth hanging on to
Terrible change, unless it’s just a bug, I can live with bugs.

I hope this is a bug… I liked seeing all the different weapons and deciding what to keep for other characters

if this is intentional, it reeks of something blizzard would do. a senseless disabling of aesthetics. but since weapons are not affected, and some of the people on my server are not having this issue i can only assume its a bug and will be fixed with all due haste. if it is not fixed with all due haste anet, you will have lost my respect.

I can’t preview armor of other type but can preview weapons even those I can’t handle. This is very stupid! If I like to preview armor regardless of the toon profession. Maybe I am currently on one toon grinding tokens for another toon. Maybe friend told me some good combination of armor pieces to check it out. I really hope this was not intentional.

i play dress up in the pvp locker more than i do quests etc.
