upgrad magicfind makes opal account bound?
The change to items with magic find on them was discussed extensively.
Also that all items on the tp with mf on them would be returned to the seller and be account bound.

ANet themselves have said that the forum users are a ‘vocal minority’.
Which means the news of the change was only reaching a minority of the players. Announcement of the changes were not made in game any where so the ‘silent majority’ could be informed.
The OP has a semi-valid argument. Though I really don’t think anything will be done about it.
They announced MF armor would become account bound, and when the patch released it did not. It remained soulbound. You can’t always believe what they tell you, and they will not change their minds about decisions they have made.
Good luck to the OP. You are a victim in this MF change. Nothing will be done to compensate you, and the sooner you accept that the sooner you can move on and maybe be happier.

There were plenty of discussions about it in game chats, I assure you.
They announced the change on August 30th on the blog.

Ty for the messages, i cant believe that this is called like support in my opinium.
I also think they want that players that are selling and make profit get less profit, so they also need to buy gems, what i never will do, i buyed this game because you can get all items also from ingame profits, and now they are making it harder.
They are the boss and can do and change all they want, and iff we dont like it you can only stop playing.
Its sad but i will play on like always, and try to make fun my way, in my opinion they should make a script that allows you one time to change the items that are account bound from trading post market, they can use the dat they did give it back to fix it.
But probely they dont wanna do it, thx again for the responses and gl all i like this game allot, but not the support thats my opinion.
People that are serious about making gold are paying attention to the game updates and announcements. It’s a market that changes all the time, you can’t expect to watch the news once in a blue moon and still stay on top of things.

There’s nothing unlucky about it. If you have missed all the blogs, all the forum discussions, all the map chat discussions, for several months… there’s definitely something wrong on your end.

Nope, like i said there is always a special case. Anet support are just plain lazy to go through all the troubles to fix his problem.

It was entirely his fault, ignorance of the WELL DOCUMENTED AND DISCUSSED changes is no excuse. This is like telling a judge during a, let’s say speeding ticket, but your honor I didn’t see the speed limit sign, judges reply would be ignorance of the law that has been well documented and publicized with signs posted in plain view is no excuse, sorry.

Your case depends on the severity of the issue concerned. This is game people are allowed to make mistakes and move on like Mr.Collin here who failed to warn people like the karma change. If you put it in way where he was in charge of warning the whole country of an impending earth quake and he failed to do so yeah it is no excuse, sorry.

They said only a vocal minority is POSTING on the forums, far more people are reading them. The news was also documented as a blog post on the website, not only on the forums. A link to that blogpost was in the game launcher every time you logged in.

Well not everyone pays attention to the game launcher do they. Not everyone visits the website regularly and look up for the news do they.

Then that is the users fault not ANETs. Even if a letter were sent out via your areas postal service, these people would probably crumple it up and toss it in the trash bin. Ignorance is bliss.

Then what do you expect the developers to do to warn people? Visit them personally irl and ring their door bell?

It’s not limited to this forum, people in general don’t see things that are right in front of their faces. If you ever worked as a cashier in a store, you’ve probably seen hundreds of people try to pull open a door that is clearly marked “Push.” Sometimes they won’t stop pulling until you tell them “you have to push the door open.”
Anet could post an announcement here, on the website, email every player, mail every player in-game on every character, and create a pop-up with every login that you have to click “ok” to clear. And there will still be people who say “no one told me about that!”
Well, if devs start showing up on my doorstep 8 o’clock Sunday mornings to tell me about the new quaggan backpacks in the gem store, I’m calling the police.
