Q:
wanting to build pc
well…. As long as you buy a mid to high end graphics sulotion you should be good.. 1060/1070 or comparable… (1080 or 1080 ti or Titans are a bit over the top too much…)
Gw2 is notoriously CPU hungry, asking for high CPU clockspeeds not neccesarily GPU prowess..
Other things you could need for Gw2 are an SSD (solid state drive) and a decent amount of (6 Gb min, 8Gb (or above) preferred.)
As for water cooling, I expect your to be OC-ing. Make sure it’s stable and buy decent RAM to go with your OC-able CPU & Mobo. if you are not going to OC your system: just buy a decent air cooler…
I’d advise you an i5 if it would have been 2-3 yrs ago, but an i7 would likely be wiser at this point in time with all new processors appearing and a future in mind. remmeber the hyperthreading doesn’t have to be a blessing with gaming.
kitten is not cursing,
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.

wanting to build a desktop but not sure which ( affordable )graphics card would be best for playing at full grahics. i know that i will be using a intel i7 proceesor and a msi motherboard liquid cooled. anyone that could offer any suggestions
Gw2 isn’t too GPU heavy. I run a 5 year old PC and only have to turn things down if there are a lot of people on the screen at once, like some of the bigger world events. Otherwise, I run with things mostly maxxed out. I’d imaging any modern midline GPU would be able to handle the game just fine.
RX 470 or 480 offer very good price/performance atm.
In my opinion GPUs atm go:
Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb £250 (1060 is if you only want nvidia but cant afford a 1070, RX480 is better at same price tho)
AMD RX480 8gb £250 (470 is a pointless downgrade spend the extra money)
Nvidia GTX 1070 8gb £400
Nvidia GTX 1080 8gb £500 (wait for ti, worth the wait and extra money)
Nvidia GTX 1080 ti 11gb £600 (not out yet, coming soon, good price basically a titan -£400)
Nvidia Titan X 12gb £1000 (overpriced, for people who just like the best)
All are made with VR in mind, so all will run Gw2 in max super easily.
Everything depends on your price range.
If you can afford it id recommend a 1080 ti, if your on a budget RX480 is defiantly the best. But that doesn’t mean the 1060 is bad, still a very powerful card.
