Guild Wars 2

well i played this when it was new and due to real issues had to quit playing. now i try to get back into the game only to find that the social aspect of this game seems to have disappeared completely. does anyone run dungeons these days ? or do any guilds still run the guild events ? dunno guess i just dont know where to start these days as i seem to have missed a lot

The guild I’m on runs events weekly, the one I was previously does as well. Some guild post their events online for anyone to come, and sometimes even send you a temporary invite for it. Check for public ones here:

Also I’ve seen guilds calling up for help on missions on LA, usually on friday and saturday evenings. You can also join the TTS, they run missions regularly so they can spawn world bosses, so far anyone can join:

You don’t need to leave your guild to join them (remember that you can be a member of up to 5 guilds), they just ask you to represent when doing one of their events.

Dungeons are run very regularly in my experience, but to get groups everyone now uses the LFG system:

the groups fill very fast for the more popular dungeons, though, so just hang around a little if you see the list empty for a dungeon you want to do.

There are lots of guilds that do missions every week. TTS is the big bandwagon guild for that stuff, but there are others, and you don’t always have to 100% rep them.

The LFG tool is there too and very fast and easy to use. It’s on the same menu as your friends list.

The LFG can appear empty, but if you put up your own add, it will fill rather fast usually.

I’m thinking you may have just come back at a bad time. We had a brand new map released on Tuesday and it’s drawing most of the attention right now. Dungeons and guild events are still quite popular.
