weird email
Broken grammar = dead giveaway for scams.
Read: Playing to Win.

Do NOT go to that link.
yeah definitely scam
if anet had any reason to suspend your account, they would without any warning. and you would need to contact support
yeah but the weird thing is that it was sent by noreply@guildwars2.com… that belongs to anet.
Never, EVER follow a link from an email. If you’re really worried, type guildwars2.com into your browser, go the support page, and submit a ticket stating that you got the email, and blah blah blah.
Also, for future reference: it’s never legit. Companies know all about this kind of thing, and thus never send out emails that are like this, simply to avoid confusing their customers. If they never send out emails like this, then all emails like this are bogus.

i don’t wanna be rude. but you are wrong, and probably don’t even know how to check who the sender is. email fields ‘from’,‘to’ are optional and easy to spoof if you have your own email server
if you wanna find out the real sender, open up email source and look up sender server ip and intermediate servers
I got one of these the other day, if you copy and paste the link address, you will see it eventually ends in .TK. Not .com.
The grammar should tell you something’s off, but if not, always C&P the links to be sure.
easy to spoof if you have your own email server
I totally forgot about that
No, don’t bother with the links at all. Companies will NOT send out an email that has links it it, because of this. They don’t want to confuse their customers.
DON’T open the link!
Never ever open a link in a mail unless you are sure its safe. I use internet explorer (so i don’t know if other browsers have the same option) and when i hover the mouse over the link it will show the whole adress where you will be send IF you click it (DONT CLICK).
99 out of the 100 mails i got from “noreply(at)gw2(dot)com” would send me to asian pages. And i bet those sites have: keyloggers, trojan horses, instant downloaded spy software and any other …ware you can think of.
Click this link and you WILL lose your account eventually.. And if this happens you should be happy if the gw2 account is the only thing you will lose.. so to repeat DON’T CLICK THOSE LINKS EVER
