what is your favourite zone or place and why
I loved all of Orr pre-nerf. The entire atmosphere is what set it a part from the other maps to me.
Always love Caledon; it’s so beautifully designed.
I haven’t gotten 100% map completion yet, so my favorite zone is generally the newest one I’m discovering. Which lately is Malchor’s Leap. Before that I think my temporary favorite was Mt. Maelstrom.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
I think the ‘Brand, and Ascalon beyond the lower levels are my favourites so far. Partly for the aesthetics and partly the enemies, though I’m somewhat disappointed there’s not (quite) an 80 zone where I can fight flame legion, branded, and ghosts.
City-wise I find [the] Citadel interesting to look around, and surprisingly convenient once I get used to the layout. I’d have to say Div-Reach is my favourite city visually though, because there’s so much of it and I can run and climb all over the place. Black Citadel has some awesome stuff, but sadly climbing into obscure places is pretty restrictive.
Not to say that the starting areas of Asc are bad, though. The more interesting stuff to look at just tends to be further out.
Frostgorge Sound and Southsun Cove. Both are really beautiful

frostgorge sounds.
reason: lot of snow, doliaks and moas…
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
I agree with you LameFox.6349. It would be pretty sweet if you could climb all over the black citadel. It’s a really intersting city
Either queensdale at night, or Blazeridge mountains, the ..scarred, black/purple area where shatterer appears. The look of that area is awsome and I wish an entire zone would be just like that. I think theres a similar area near ebonhold.
But my favorite place to play? I have none…

Yes, that’s the ’brand and it extends through many zones (some which don’t yet exist). The first two screencaps I posted earlier are from the part near Ebonhawke.
I like Timberline Falls. The mix of snow-capped mountains and new spring growth in the lowlands, plus a large waterway makes the zone really interesting.

My favorite places are the Norn mountain areas, notably Lornar Pass and Timberline Falls (it’s Falls, not Rise…), and also Wayfarer Foothills, best starter area of the game in my opinion. But then, I love “viking” lore.
And there’s Divinity’s Reach. The most impressive city ever created for a MMORPG.
A PvX guild for mature players with a life.

I love all of the areas within Maguuma Jungle as the environment is lush, varied, and just fun. You can go from a sunny tree-filled area to a dark wet jungle in a single stroll and the creatures within are very interesting. The only thing it is missing is an area where corruption has touched, which I really hope we see in the near future.
I am particularly fond of Gendarran Fields.
The scale of that area is so realistic, there is such a huge distance between towns and the towns are of such a nice size. The zone is varied, yet simple.

Just love Fireheart Rise: the stunning natural beauty along with the pollution and the structures and the Flame Legion, I love the meteors.
I also love the branded zones with the exception of Field of Ruin.
Mount Maelstrom comes to mind- incredible diversity, resources, a lake and an awesome volcano and views.
I also really like the atmosphere in Orr and the architecture is amazing.
My top five zones, based on time I’ve spent RPing in them (where the “tavern style” RP in DR and LA doesn’t get counted, because it frankly could have happened anywhere and been the same):
1.) Fields of Ruin. It’s very diverse, full of neat RP spots, and tells the local story very effectively.
2.) Queensdale. My favorite of the starting zones, and the one I go back to when I’ve got nothing better to do. Always full of people, always plenty to do.
3.) Frostgorge Sound. My favorite of the zones that reach the Level Cap, probably because the local critters aren’t quite as obnoxious to fight as Risen and Karka. It’s also visually stunning. A lot of the other Shiverpeaks zones I find depressing and monotonous, but Frostgorge really speaks to me.
4.) Rata Sum. The design is compact and convenient, but without sacrificing sweet epic vistas and atmosphere.
5.) Order of Whispers HQ. But you’re not classified to know why I like this.
Timberline falls and mount maelstorm, there quite cool, although a jumping puzzle to the top of one of the peaks in timberline falls would he cool. Actually it’d be sick. Should put it on the tallest peak.
5.) Order of Whispers HQ. But you’re not classified to know why I like this.
What about authorized to know then?
